Casino Event<br />
The Weston Lakes Women’s Associations tradition of giving to the<br />
community began in 1991 and The Weston Lakes Women’s Association<br />
Community Foundation, Inc. was established in 2000 as a 501(c)3<br />
charitable foundation. In 2016 The Foundation had a great impact on<br />
the community by donating over $25,000 for college scholarships in the<br />
<strong>Fulshear</strong>-Simonton area and grants to various community organizations,<br />
attached you’ll find the 2016 Distribution Summarization.<br />
WLWA was forced to cancel our annual fundraiser, the 5K Run due to<br />
Hurricane Harvey. If you’ve given to or participated in the 5K Run in<br />
the past we would welcome donations or volunteers to contact the Co-<br />
Chairs listed below in an effort to raise funds for the 2017-18 High School<br />
Graduates on their way to college.<br />
The WLWA Foundation is holding a “Casino Night” Fundraising event<br />
February 3, <strong>2018</strong>. Please consider supporting your community and this<br />
event by donating items or services for the Live/Silent Auction, Raffle<br />
Prizes or donating funds as an Event Underwriter/Sponsor assisting us to<br />
make this event a success. In the 16 years since 2000, the generosity of<br />
others has enabled us to distribute over $575,000 to deserving students<br />
and organizations. By donating, you’ll be making a tax deductible donation<br />
ensuring that we can continue to give back to our community. Naturally,<br />
your donation will be recognized on our Facebook Page, published articles<br />
and promotional materials prior to “Casino Night” and in the WLWA’s Lady<br />
Luck Casino Event Program.<br />
