Gym-Kinetics expansion complete, new<br />
programming announced<br />
Gym-Kinetics Gymnastics’<br />
7,000-square-foot expansion<br />
is complete.<br />
New programs are being<br />
added to the now<br />
24,000-square-foot gym.<br />
First is Kinetics Cheer.<br />
This new program is to<br />
introduce girls ages 6 and<br />
older to the sport of cheerleading.<br />
Forms, tumbling<br />
and chants will be a few<br />
things participants can expect<br />
to learning in this new<br />
program.<br />
Kinetics Cheer already<br />
is getting great interest and<br />
is expected to fill its time<br />
slots quickly.<br />
The second of the new<br />
program Gym-Kinetics is<br />
to introduce is Fit Kids.<br />
For those looking for fitness<br />
fun for their sons and<br />
daughters, this coed program<br />
is to show how fitness<br />
can be fun for schoolage<br />
children.<br />
The concept of this<br />
program is to work on<br />
the body’s major muscle<br />
groups with fun activities<br />
like obstacle courses,<br />
group activities and individual<br />
goal-setting. At<br />
the beginning of each session,<br />
the students will go<br />
through some simple, fun<br />
fitness testing, track progress<br />
and re-test at the end<br />
of the season to see how<br />
their levels of fitness have<br />
increased.<br />
This program has limited<br />
space, so interested<br />
parties should make reservations<br />
soon.<br />
Gym-Kinetics is still<br />
running all of the popular<br />
gymnastics programs it<br />
has for the past 32 years<br />
for girls and boys of all<br />
ages. Classes offered are<br />
Baby Gym for walkers<br />
up to 2 years old, Mom<br />
& Mini for 2-year-olds,<br />
preschool classes for 3- to<br />
5-year-olds, and beginner<br />
to advanced classes for<br />
both girls and boys.<br />
People also should not<br />
forget about the popular<br />
Ninja Zone classes for<br />
girls and boys ages 4 and<br />
older.<br />
Gym-Kinetics now has<br />
space for cheer team to<br />
get some extra practices in<br />
before competitions. New<br />
sessions will begin Jan. 22.<br />
