“My official title is Consumer Sales Executive.
I work closely with clients on selling them
season ticket packages. I then entertain them
at different events, like Fever games and
concerts. I am the only female in the
particular area, so it is my personal goal to
beat all the guys!! I miss home (Barbourville)
and EKU, but am looking forward to
September 1st when we play Purdue. I can’t
wait to go cheer on my Colonels.”
primary purpose of this group is to make
suggestions on ways to increase
awareness of collegiate community
services provided by KyCC. Heather is
also a Nancy Hindman Leadership Award
Winner (coveted NOVA Leadership
EKU Success coaches
This year EKU is implementing a
new mentoring program for incoming
students who commute,
and we are proud to say that two
of our own NOVA Alumni are
engaged in this exciting new way
of connecting with commuters!
Megan Sevier and Kayla Sergent
will each be working with a group
of first year commuter students by
meeting with them regularly and
helping them make a successful
transition to EKU. Some of these
commuters are NOVA participants
and will also have a Peer Leader
for support.
“I’ve been the Communications Specialist for the Office of
Admissions for six years. My job is to communicate with all
incoming freshmen to let them know about awesome
opportunities here at EKU. As an EKU success Coach, I will
be working with incoming NOVA freshmen that commute to
campus. I’m a resource for them about all things EKU and
since I’m a former NOVA commuter myself, I’ll be able to
understand where they’re coming from, what challenges
they’ll encounter and how to overcome them to be
successful.”
