Waffle Desserts By Jen Caudill
Have you ever gone to Powell and wondered what treat you could whip up
upstairs? Well, recently Samantha Steele and I, Jen Caudill, came up with a
perfect dessert. Make your waffle the way you normally would. Once it’s
done, go over to the ice-cream station and fill a cup of ice cream of your
choosing (I personally go with the Choco-vanilla swirl). Take an extra cup
and fill it with your favorite cereal (Cocopuffs are amazing for this). Then,
go back to the waffle station. Spread a little of the cream cheese or peanut
butter on it. Then spread your ice-cream generously on it. After, spray
some whipped cream and apply the cereal. Voila! An amazing dessert.

certified to be a guidance counselor.
Page 7
She is a firm believer in equal rights for all students. NOVA means a lot to
Jane and she has affected so many lives in a positive way. “NOVA is an
opportunity for people to become who they want to be. Students should
have equal access to a college education.” We appreciate all Jane does for
the program.
Q and A with Sammy and Brittany
Q: Can NOVA have a talent show?
A: Get in contact with Tessa Osborne as
she is in charge of activities for the NOVA
Stars. I am sure that if you talked to them
and had a well thought out plan then there
would be a possibility for it to happen.
And it does sound like a great idea so
work on it!
Q: How do you get a newsletter?
A: Every student gets one through email.
The newsletter is available at http://
nova.eku.edu/newsletters . If you wish to
have a hard copy you can print one from
online at the Turley House.
Q: What is RSO and is it something
I should go to?
A: RSO stands for Registered Student
Organizations and yes I highly recommend
someone who has the time to
join an RSO. They could be anything!
And if you don’t like any on campus then
start your own! (http://
www.studentlife.eku.edu/)
Page 8
Q: How do you become a Peer
Leader?
A: If you have interest in being a peer
leader talk to Mr. Haggerty about your decision.
Taking the leadership class in the
Spring is also a great start.
Q: What advice would you give
someone who hasn’t made any
friends yet?
A: Well I will tell you, as a student who is
kind of shy at first, you just need to put
yourself out there! You never know who
you are going to meet until you try! NOVA
Stars RSO is a great way to make friends.
Oh and for anyone who wants a friend, my
name is Sammy!
Ask us anything, and who knows...
you might get an answer here!
