(PPP), Asif Ali Zardari paid
surprise visit to the house of
senior party leader
Chaudhry Javed Akhtar and
offered fateha for his
deceased mother and
praised his long unshakable
services to the party and the
country.
According to the details,
both leaders spent sometime
political situation in the
country and Asif Ali Zardari
condoled on the sad demise
of the death of his mother
and also offered fateha for
the departed soul.
Former President also
addressed media and appreciated
services of Chaudhry
Javed Akhtar and reminded
his efforts, sacrifices for
Pakistan Peoples Party
(PPP) and the nation including
being behind bars for
the sake of safeguarding
rule of law in Pakistan
despite facing the toughest
challenges, difficulties in
jails.
Zardari commenting on
the Sharif brothers' visit to
Saudi Arabia said that an
agreement might be “cooking”
in the country.
“No one knows what is
cooking. There are a couple
of rumours surrounding
their visits to Saudi Arabia,”
he said while talking to
media.
Rumour mill has it that
the motive behind the visits
could be to negotiate a deal
or to save their assets,
Zardari added.
The former president,
however, added that “we
Shah slams Govt for hiking
prices of petroleum products
ISLAMABAD: Leader
of the Opposition in the
National Assembly Syed
Khurshid Shah on Monday
slammed the government
for hiking the prices of
petroleum products,
terming the increase failure
of its policies.
Speaking to the media,
Shah lamented that the latest
increase in fuel prices
will trouble already hardpressed
public. He said the
government had shifted the
burden of internal and
external borrowings onto
the public.
Shah laughed off the
government’s claims of
having shored up foreign
reserves, questioning the
veracity of such claims.
The government had
already been collecting
illegitimate taxes on the
petroleum products and
the recent increase
would unleash a storm of
inflation in the country,
the opposition leader
said.
The PPP will not allow
the government to oppress
the people and will expose
its hollow claims. He
demanded that the old
prices of the petroleum
products should immediately
be restored.
ISLAMABAD: The
Supreme Court (SC)
Monday admitted petitions
challenging Election Act
2017 and issued notices to
the defence and prosecution
in reference to the case.
Multiple petitions were
filed against the Election
Act 2017 by Pakistan
Peoples Party (PPP),
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf
(PTI), Awami Muslim
League chief Sheikh
Rasheed, Jamshed Dasti,
and others. The appeals
objected against an amendment
to the law that permitted
a disqualified politician
to head a political party.
A three-member bench
of the apex court headed by
Chief Justice Mian Saqib
Nisar and comprising
Justice Faisal Arab and
Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan heard
the case.
The bench also rejected
another petition for striking
down a provision in the
Election Act 2017. This provision
mandates a new
political party to provide
on its continued support of
Only a few days ago,
the Pakistan Army media
cell had suggested the US
in his press conference that
"(it) is time for
Afghanistan and the US to
forces had complained that
No NRO going to be
struck in Saudia:
Sheikh Rashid
ISLAMABAD: Awami
Muslim League (AML)
chairman Sheikh Rashid
has said no NRO is being
struck in Saudi Arabia.
“No NRO is being
struck in Saudi Arabia .
Sharif brothers are waiting
for several hours in
Riyadh but King
Suleman has not allowed
them to enter.
Even the entire
Middle East can not get
broker NRO”, he said
this while talking to
media men here Monday
outside parliament
house.
”That was another era
when NRO was brokered
with Musharraf. No NRO
would now be able to
save Nawaz. If a corrupt
figure goes to Mecca and
Madina then the voices of
“thief, thief” start chasing
him therein”, he added.
of 20,000 members to the
Election Commission.
During the course of proceedings,
Zulfiqar Ahmed
Bhutta one of the petitioners
said it would be appropriate
if the apex court issues
notice in this case.
Chief Justice Mian Saqib
Nisar directed him to file a
case regarding issuance of
notice and remarked that it
was a political case and
notice could not be served
upon your request.
He advised Bhutta not to
take the court lightly as it
had to follow the rules.
The chief justice commented
that parliament
was the supreme body to
formulate laws, and
inquired about the rule
under which its decisions
could be nullified.
He asked the petitioner
to give such examples in
which the SC annulled the
laws made by the parliament.
Bhutta requested the
court to grant him some
time to collect such details
as he was not prepared properly
because he was not in
the town.
Chief Justice Saqib
Nisar rejected the request
and told Bhutta that he was
also out of city and arrived
back last night.
He said he should have
come after preparation as
the date was already fixed,
and remarked that the case
would not be delayed.
The counsel for the
National Party asked for
time to prepare for the case,
to which the chief justice
disagreed and observed that
the hearing would be held
according to schedule.
“Don’t take the courts
easy. The case will not be
adjourned,” the court asserted.
Sheikh Rashid’s lawyer
Farogh Naseem maintained
that it was the citizens’ right
to be governed by an honest
person.
He said the Election Act
was passed in Senate by a
margin of only a single vote.
Rejecting Naseem’s argument,
the chief justice
remarked that one vote was
enough to pass a law.
Circadian rhythms also
impact mood. Understanding
the interaction between light
Moreover, mood affects the
achievement of goals that are
essential for a successful existence.
EDITORIAL
Humans, religious or atheist, have morals:
Human spirit compulsory to end immorality
RELIGION, according to worldwide contentions,
for self proclaimed religious people
is a reforming factor leading to concepts of
rights, morality and accountability in eternal life or
Hereafter, just like the laws of the land in this temporary
world and transient short life. Is religion
with craving for heaven and fear of hell necessary
for morality? Most people believe in that. Without
concepts of rights and wrongs, judgement day and
accountability, with heaven as rewards for good
deeds and hell as a reward for bad ones, individual
or collective justice and morality makes little sense.
A definite concept of reward and punishment makes
people behave more properly, though their levels of
belief may vary to lesser or greater extent, as their
saying and doing shows it. It is not a set of "rules to
follow, or else" - it is a human belief and a divine
relationship, with the One who made the Universe,
the Earth, and all of us. No one wants the results of
sin, but all are happy to participate in evil: Only a
stronger belief and relation with God is absolutely
necessary to live the right way.
SOME individuals may still come up with what
is moral and what is immoral, each with different
versions. A highest authority like God may be an
answer to unify a code of moral conduct universally.
Another argument is that all morality is based on
consequences. All things being equal, pleasure is
better than pain, life is better than death, health is
better than illness. The murder rate in Japan is one
of the lowest in the world. That is not because
everyone is Buddhist. In fact, most Japanese are not
followers. Norway has very low rates of prisoners
re-offending and that is not because there are more
religious people there than America. It is because of
specific policies. So religion is not the only force
needed to make people moral and stop people committing
bad acts, but it is still more effective one, if
properly promoted and implemented.
THERE are 2.5 billion non-religious people on
By Jeffrey D. Sachs
America's latest gift to the world was a $285
million cut in the United Nations' regular
budget. Technically, the UN regular budget
reflects a consensus decision of the body's 193 member
states, but the United States was clearly the prime
mover in pushing for the cut. Indeed, Nikki Haley,
the US ambassador to the UN, accompanied the
announcement with a warning that the US would be
on the lookout for further reductions.
The budget cuts will make it that much harder for
UN agencies to prevent wars, help millions of people
displaced by conflicts, feed and clothe hungry children,
fight emerging diseases, provide safe water and
sanitation, and promote access to education and
health care for the poor.
President Donald Trump and Haley make much of
the bloated costs of UN operations, and there certainly
is room for some trimming. But the world receives
an astounding return on its investments in the UN,
and member countries should be investing far more,
not less, in its organisations and programmes.
Consider the sums. The UN regular budget for the
two-year period 2018-2019 will stand at $5.3 billion
- $285 million less than the 2016-2017. Annual
spending will be $2.7 billion. The US share will be
22 per cent, or around $580 million per year, equivalent
to around $1.80 per American per year.
What will Americans get for their $1.80 per year?
For starters, the UN regular budget includes the operations
of the General Assembly, the Security Council,
and the Secretariat (including the Secretary-General's
office, the Department for Economic and Social
Affairs, the Department of Political Affairs, and
administrative staff). When a dire threat to peace arises,
such as the current standoff between the US and
North Korea, it is the UN's Department of Political
Affairs that often facilitates vital, behind-the-scenes
diplomacy.
In addition, the UN regular budget includes allocations
for the UN Children's Fund (Unicef), the UN
Development Program, the World Health
Organization, the UN High Commissioner for
Refugees, the UN High Commissioner for Human
Rights, the UN's regional bodies (for Asia, Africa,
Europe, Latin America), the UN Environment
Program, the Office for the Coordination of
Humanitarian Affairs (for disaster response), the
World Meteorological Organization, the UN Office
on Drugs and Crime, UN Women (for women's
rights), and many other agencies, each specialising in
global responses to crises, conflicts, poverty, displacement,
environmental hazards, diseases, or other
public needs.
OPINION
Earth, and not all are immoral. In fact, most are
moral. Morality comes from within which was/is
established through societal interactions. As society
grew and social interactions became more complex
those that operated with morality were better able to
coexist and thus thrive while others failed.
IT'S said that religious people incite verbal quarrels
and violent behavior, leading to permanent state
of war without peace. If you are not religious at all,
it's not as if you don't have morals. That is not true
at all. Religious people also aren't always moral,
like some non religious ones. Sometimes it's seen
and proved that even atheists and humanists and
other non-religious people have high human morals,
often more than the morals of the religious people.
Many religious people are immoral and invite others
to morality. At least non-religious people do not
defame religion like that.
LESSONS like these are too many here for religious
people to learn. If religious people and their
leaders were better than non religious people, then a
religious governance with morality would be more
in politics and rule than non religious governments
without morals. All that is necessary for morality is
good intention and probably some form of community
support or ethical framework. That can be from
a religion, or otherwise. In fact, many immoral
things have been done throughout history in the
name of some religion or other. But truly religious
people with good acts, rather than bad ones, following
a true Islam without distortions, are a lot better
than non religious people of equal stature in education,
ability and character, for a simple reason that
religious people fear God and concept of hell for bad
deeds in Hereafter. Many debate on a highly likely
truth that if a country like Pakistan made in the name
of religion had religious leaders moral enough to
spiritually lead this nation, there would be a religious
ruling system with (now absent) morality and
without present corruption in Pakistan today.
UN needs more funds and
support to save the world
The budget cuts will make it that much harder for UN
agencies to prevent wars
Many of the UN organisations receive additional
"voluntary" contributions from individual countries
interested in supporting specialised initiatives by
agencies such as Unicef and the World Health
Organization. After all, those agencies have a unique
global mandate and political legitimacy, and the
capacity to operate in all parts of the world.
The silliness of the US attack on the size of the
UN budget is best seen by comparing it to the
Pentagon's budget. The US currently spends around
$700 billion per year on defense, or roughly $2 billion
per day. Thus, the total annual UN regular budget
amounts to around one day and nine hours of US
military spending. The US share of the UN regular
budget equals roughly seven hours of Pentagon
spending. Some waste.
Trump and Haley are squeezing the UN budget for
three reasons. The first is to play to Trump's political
base. Most Americans recognise the enormous value
of the UN and support it, but the right-wing fringe
views the UN as an affront to the US. A 2016 Pew
Survey put US public approval of the UN at 64 per
cent, with just 29 per cent viewing it unfavourably.
Yet the Texas Republican Party, for example, has
repeatedly called on the US to leave the UN.
The second reason is to save on wasteful programmes,
which is necessary in any ongoing organisation.
The mistake is to slash the overall budget,
rather than reallocate funds and increase outlays on
vitally needed programmes that fight hunger and disease,
educate children, and prevent conflicts.
The third, and most dangerous reason for cutting
the UN's budget is to weaken multilateralism in the
name of American "sovereignty." America is sovereign,
Trump and Haley insist, and therefore can do
what it wants, regardless of opposition by the UN or
any other group of countries.
In her recent speech to the UN General
Assembly session on Jerusalem, where member
states overwhelmingly rejected America's unilateral
recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,
Haley told the rest of the world: "America will put
our embassy in Jerusalem. That is what the
American people want us to do, and it is the right
thing to do. No vote in the United Nations will
make any difference on that."
This approach to sovereignty is exceedingly
risky. Most obviously, it repudiates international
law. In the case of Jerusalem, resolutions adopted
by the General Assembly and the Security Council
have repeatedly declared the final status of
Jerusalem to be a matter of international law. By
brazenly proclaiming the right to override international
law, the US threatens the edifice of international
cooperation under the UN Charter.
COX'S BAZAR: In the
four months since the
Myanmar military began a
crackdown after Rohingya
militants attacked an army
base and police posts on
Aug. 25, around 655,000
members of the stateless
Muslim minority have fled
the western state of
Rakhine and crossed into
neighboring Bangladesh.
A Reuters graphic
(UNOSAT) to show hundreds
of villages in
Rakhine state that were
once inhabited by the
Rohingya, but have now
been burned down.
A total of 354 villages
have either been completely
or partially destroyed,
Human Rights Watch said
on Dec. 18.
The data, which was
gathered from Aug. 25, the
day of the Rohingya militant
attack, to Nov. 25,
shows burned settlements
in an area stretching 110
km (68 miles) from the
green hills of Rakhine’s
northern tip to beaches
near the state’s capital
Jordan royal palace
denies rumors about
AMMAN: Jordan’s
royal palace warned it
would take legal measures
against anyone spreading
what it said were lies about
the ruling family, just days
after King Abdullah
relieved his brothers from
top army posts in a major
shakeup.
The king, a staunch
U.S. ally, said on Tuesday
that his brothers Prince Ali
and Prince Faisal and his
cousin Prince Talal - who
all had high military ranks
- would be retiring from
the armed forces.
He said the move was
part of a reorganization of
the armed forces’ hierarchy
and structure.
Prince Faisal was head
of the royal air force and
deputy chief of staff, while
Prince Ali had for years
been in charge of the royal
guards responsible for the
king’s protection.
Talal Bin Mohammad, a
ROME: President
Sergio Mattarella on
Sunday urged political
parties to make realistic
proposals to tackle
Italy’s problems, especially
joblessness, ahead
of an election in March.
Although the presidency
is largely ceremonial,
Mattarella does
traditional
have the power to pick
prime ministers and dissolve
parliament, which
he did this week to open
Prime Minister
Malcolm Turnbull said the
Government was "very
concerned about the growing
gang violence and lawlessness
in Victoria", particularly
in Melbourne.
Victoria's Liberal
Opposition Leader,
Matthew Guy, wants to
introduce mandatory sentencing
for report offenders
convicted of serious
the way for a March 4
election.
“The duty to make
adequate proposals -
realistic and concrete
ones - is a must given the
dimension of the problems
our country faces,”
Mattarella said during a
end-year
speech broadcast live on
national television.
“Yet again I must
underscore that jobs
remain the primary and
crimes, including home
invasions, armed robberies
and aggravated car-jacking.
The Labor Government
opposes the policy, and has
argued that the last time the
Liberal Party tried to introduce
mandatory sentencing
laws; the plan was thrown
they had flown safely to
Punto Islita to pick up passengers
headed to San Jose.
Nature Air said in a
statement that it lamented
the accident, without
explaining the cause. The
flight was part of a special
charter service for 20 people,
relying on two planes.
The first plane, carrying 10
passengers, arrived safely
in San Jose at 11:40 a.m.
The second, with 10 passengers
and two pilots,
departed 20 minutes later.
unusually brief 10-
Italy’s economy, the
euro zone’s third-biggest,
probably grew this year
at its fastest rate since
2010, but remains among
the most sluggish in
Europe. Unemployment
remains above 11 percent,
while youth joblessness
is about 35 percent.
‘Youth Crime versus African Gang Offence’
becomes Melbourne’s large conflict
out by the courts.
The comments from
Hunt and Turnbull follow
several recent headlinegrabbing
crimes blamed on
groups of young African
men, including the trashing
of an Airbnb property in
Werribee and the repeated
destruction of a community
centre in Tarneit.
In both cases, walls
were scrawled with the letters
"MTS", which are
understood to stand for a
western suburbs-based
group, "Menace to
Society".
A spate of jewellery
store robberies in 2016 and
2017, many carried out by
groups of men described as
being of African appearance,
also prompted debate
about gang crime.
said.
All people and horses
involved in the show were
Ismail said the government
planned tax reforms
to focus on widening the
tax base, simplifying tax
structures, and slashing
personal tax rates to
encourage more people to
file returns.
"We have to reduce rates
and the prime minister is
very eager to especially
reduce rates on individuals,"
Ismail stated.
Pakistan has a very narrow
tax base and successive
governments have
promised to rein in tax
evaders and boost revenues.
"We will probably
not go back to the international
markets to issue a
new bond until the end of
next calendar year so it will
not be in this fiscal year
anymore," he concluded.
Saudia and UAE
introduce VAT
for first time
RIYADH: Value
Added Tax (VAT) has
been introduced in Saudi
Arabia and the United
Arab Emirates for the
first time.
The 5% levy is being
applied to the majority
of goods and services.
Gulf States have long
attracted foreign workers
with the promise of taxfree
living.
But governments
want to increase revenue
in the face of lower oil
prices. The tax kicked in
on 1 January in both
countries.
The UAE estimates
that in the first year, VAT
income will be around
12 billion dirhams
(£2.4bn; $3.3bn).
Petrol and diesel,
food, clothes, utility bills
and hotel rooms all now
have VAT applied.
But some outgoings
have been made exempt
from the tax, or given a
zero-tax rating, including
medical treatment,
financial services and
public transport.
Organisations such as
the International
Monetary Fund have
long called for Gulf
countries to diversify
their sources of income
away from oil reserves.
In Saudi Arabia more
than 90% of budget revenues
come from the oil
industry while in the
UAE it is roughly 80%.
Both countries have
already taken steps to
boost government coffers.
In Saudi Arabia this
included a tax on tobacco
and soft drinks as well as
a cut in some subsidies
offered to locals. In the
UAE road tolls have
It alleged that been hiked and a tourism
Prices of small cars increased
by Suzuki company
ISLAMABAD: With the start of the new year, Pak-Suzuki
Company has increased the prices of the cars, especially the
small cars, being manufactured locally by Rs. 10,000 per car
in the pretext of adjustment of new taxes and duties imposed
by Federal Board of Revenue.
A spokesperson of Pak-Suzuki Company on Monday while
explaining the reasons for increasing the prices said these prices have been revised
upward for various vehicles specially ranging from 800cc to 1000cc engine capacities
to adjust the new duties and taxes imposed by FBR on the auto mobile industry.
It may be mentioned that the range of the vehicles from 800cc to 1000cc are in more
demand by the common customers as people have the buying capacity for these
vehicles which use less fuel and economically better as compared to big vehicles
which consumed more oil.
According to an official letter issued by Pak Suzuki to its dealers, the price of
Suzuki Mehran VX will be Rs. 689,000 which was Rs. 679,000 on December 31,
PPL for commercial viability of
unconventional discoveries
KARACHI: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), one of
the key players in Pakistan’s E&P sector is playing its due
role in the development of unconventional reservoirs in
the country.
In order to explore tight gas potential in the lower
Indus basin, PPL drilled a well in Naushehro Feroze
exploration lease. Tight gas potential was confirmed
through successful drilling and testing of first well
Naushahro Feroze X1 (NF X-1). Due to the tight nature of the reservoir this discovery
initially did not appear commercially viable. After detailed post well analysis
and numerous sub-seismic geological and reservoir modellings, PPL re-drilled this
well horizontally to total length of 4940 metres and completed with state of the art
multistage frack technology. Where the Chiltan Limestone reservoir was successfully
drilled in a horizontal section with total lateral length of more than 1.3 Km. The
well was completed with ten stage open hole packers and fracking sleeves.
This well made history in drilling industry of Pakistan, by becoming one of the
deepest and longest horizontal wells in tight carbonate reservoir. Later, all ten stages
were stimulated (frac/acid) and successfully tested at 4.5 MMscfd with 1850 psi
flowing wellhead pressure with 9 fold increase in production.
In the future, “PPL plans to work on two additional tight gas discoveries to establish
commercial viability,” says MD and CEO PPL Syed Wamiq Bokhari. “The company`s
effort in tapping unconventional reservoirs has the potential to add substantial
reserves to Pakistan`s hydrocarbons base,” he adds.
NF X-1 is in Naushahro Feroz Block, Sindh, with PPL as operator holding 90
percent working interest and the remaining 10 percent held by Asia Resources Oil
Limited.
Citing LoC turmoil, India rules out
possibility of cricket series with Pak
Dr
NEW DELHI: India has
once again made clear its
stance that, for the time
being, there will be no
bilateral cricket series
between the two countries,
even at neutral venues.
According to a report in
the Indian media, Indian
Minister of External
indicated the government's
stance at a meeting of the
consultative committee
attached to the ministry
that offered a review of
On being asked about
restarting the long-suspended
between the rivals, Swaraj
said the high number of
cross-border firings do not
set the tone for any kind of
Former Pakistan cricketer
The Indian government
has decided that they will
year in ICC ODI Bowling. Among all-rounders,
Hasan Ali took 45 ODI Bangladesh’s Shakib Al
wickets in the year 2017 to
make his way to the top of
the table.
Hasan was the runaway
leader across formats with
Ravichandran Ashwin and
New Zealand pace Ravindra Jadeja in Tests,
bowler Trent Boult started Mohammad Hafeez in
the year on top. However,
T20Is snatching the baton
Meanwhile, Steve Smith
Bumrah and Imad Wasim,
for a second year running,
finishing the calendar year
2017 with the second highest
ever rating after the legendary
Don Bradman.
Smith’s tally of 947
points kept him 54 points
ahead of Virat Kohli at the
end of a year which saw the
Australia captain aggregate
1,305 runs with six centuries.
His India counterpart
Kohli, however, kept a
steady hold on the ODI
number one ranking for
most of the latter part of the
year even though his yearend
aggregate was only
four points more than second-placed
AB de Villiers.
Unlike in Tests, the top
position in ODIs was
fiercely contested for, with
as many as 12 changes
Virat and Anushka will enjoy
our hospitality, says CSA chief
Sports Reporter
KARACHI: Cricket
South Africa (CSA) will
provide great hospitality to
Team India captain Virat
Kohli and his wife Anishka
Sharma during their recent
tour. This was revealed by
the CSA's acting CEO
(Chief Executive Officer)
Thabang Moroe.
Speaking exclusively,
he said, "we are very
happy to host the couple.
Just as we are the BCCI
family.These two countries
have shared special relations
in the past both politically
and on the sporting
fields".
"Virat is a world beater,
a very dominant batsman.
Giving him world-class
hospitality should help
soften him up for our
bowlers to be able to put
him away very quickly in
the matches to come.
"I would like to believe
that we are treating them
(Kohli and Anushka) with
the same special care that
we give to all our visitors.
As South Africans we are
very well known for our
friendliness and hospitality
and I'm pretty confident
they would agree too.
"To be honest I haven't
received any special
requests and if any came
they would've gone to my
team who are more than
capable of pulling a rabbit
out of the hat".
Wenger party spoiled by late
West Brom leveler
WEST BROMWICH:
Arsene Wenger s recordbreaking
day as Arsenal
manager ended in frustration
as his disjointed side
were held to a controversial
1-1 draw at West
Bromwich Albion on
Sunday.
The Frenchman took
charge of his 811th
Gunners league game, taking
him past Alex
Ferguson s Premier
League record of 810.
But his side were
denied victory by Jay
Rodriguez s 89th-minute
penalty, awarded for handball
against Calum
Chambers to the fury of
Wenger and his players.
Arsenal had taken the
lead six minutes earlier
after a deflected Alexis
Sanchez free-kick found
its way into the West Brom
net via a deflection off
James McClean.
The Gunners had been
frustrated for much of the
game by a resolute Albion.
Arsenal made the brighter
start but might have found
themselves trailing to the
first chance of the game on
six minutes.
A weaving run down
the right flank by Matt
Phillips ended with a cross
for Rodriguez, who leapt
highest but headed too
close to Petr Cech and the
Arsenal goalkeeper made a
solid save, diving to his
left.
Cech handed the
Baggies another chance
moments later when he
spilled a high cross by
Kieran Gibbs at the feet of
Hal Robson-Kanu.
The Wales striker s
effort was blocked and
Arsenal then snuffed out
Jake Livermore s effort to
keep the move alive.
and David Warner. Kohli
led for 190 days in this
format while his hold at
the top in T20I rankings
was virtually right
through. He was topranked
for 358 days in the
shortest format, only losing
the spot to Aaron
Finch towards the end as
Kohli missed a threematch
home series against
Sri Lanka when he got
married.
Those rising rapidly in
Tests in 2017 were India
opener Lokesh Rahul
(49th to 12th), Windies
middle-order batsman
Shai Hope (107th to 34th)
and South Africa left-arm
spinner Keshav Maharaj
(59th to 16th).
