In the autumn months of this year, Sean Finn from Elanco came to the Unicorn<br />
practices to present the Milbemax WORMWISE campaign. Its focus was on<br />
understanding the BIG 3 worms, their lifecycle and what we can do to help our<br />
customers protect themselves and their pets. We also learnt that one<br />
particular tapeworm species could grow to OVER 5 metres in length!<br />
Understanding our pet owner’s lifestyle, and then assessing their pets risk to<br />
being exposed to parasites is key to really developing our relationships as<br />
trusted advisers, and by promoting our IVC PHC, and discussing risk<br />
assessments with the WORMWISE campaign we hope it’ll be a great success.<br />
Following on from our pizza lunch and learns, we started a risk assessment<br />
drive, asking our owners to complete the risk assessments, and to incentivise<br />
them we entered them into a prize draw to win a luxury hamper supplied by<br />
Sean from Elanco. Each draw was done just before Christmas, giving these<br />
lovely owners something to remember us by over the Festive period.<br />
