He was born as the youngest of four siblings to Ramesh Tendulkar. He was<br />
named after his family’s favourite music director , Sachin Dev Burman. As a<br />
child , he was a bully so his brother encouraged him to play cricket in order to<br />
divert his mind from fights . Not only this but he also got Sachin enrolled in an<br />
academy . Sachin went to Sharadashram High school as that school had a rich<br />
cricketing tradition .He shone as a cricketing star for his school and soon people<br />
started predicting that he would one day become a famous player. Along<br />
with his friend Vinod Kambli, he was involved in a record six hundred sixty<br />
four run partnership in an inter school match against St. Xavier’s High school<br />
in 1988 which impressed the Indian selectors .<br />
Career<br />
Sachin made his international test debut against Pakistan in 1989.Even though<br />
he could not score may runs in the series , Sachin got noticed for both his batting<br />
techniques and his dedication to the game .<br />
