When you become a Star Elite within your first 3 full months (your<br />

enrollment month + the next 3 full months), you can earn a £75 Star Elite<br />

Advancement Bonus! What could you use the Star Elite Advancement<br />

Bonus for? Write it down!<br />

Help one of your new IBOs become a Star Elite within their first 3 full<br />

months of joining, and you can earn a £75 Matching Star Elite Advancement<br />

Bonus! You’ll need to be paid as a Star Elite or higher to receive the<br />

matching bonus.<br />

To reach Star Elite, you’ll need to develop legs so your team is more stable.<br />

Building a leg means you are personally sponsoring new IBOs, who are in<br />

turn selling products and sponsoring new IBOs. The Maximum Volume<br />

Rule applies in order for you to advance to Star Elite. You can count up to<br />

900 DV from any one leg or your own PV. You’ll still be paid on all of your<br />

Overcoming<br />

Common Objections<br />

It’s very natural for people to have questions or<br />

concerns when you introduce the opportunity. If<br />

your prospects have objections, this is a good sign<br />

that they are considering the opportunity. Concerns<br />

or questions are part of a natural conversation. Be<br />

confident in answering their objections because it<br />

reflects your own ability as a leader. It’s also important to<br />

always validate or agree with their concern.<br />

For example, after they express their objection, you<br />

can say, “I understand where you are coming from.”<br />

“I respect your concern.” “Thank you for sharing this<br />

with me.” “I felt the same way when I first started.” Then<br />

share what you have found out by doing the business.<br />

This process can help you gain their trust as you<br />

understand their concerns and their reasons for<br />

considering the opportunity. Here are some common<br />

objections and suggested responses that you can put<br />

into your own words.<br />

“I Don’t Have Time.”<br />

Many people will say they didn’t have time to read the brochure<br />

or they don’t have time to do the business. This is actually a<br />

good opener to explaining the benefits of our business.<br />

“I understand you are very busy. When I first started, I felt<br />

like I had no time for anything. I found that if I kept doing the<br />

same things over and over, I would not get back any more<br />

of my time. I started doing this very part-time like many<br />

other people in Sunrider. Would you like me to show you how<br />

owning a Sunrider business can actually give you more time<br />

to do the things you want to do?"<br />

You can share your own or your upline’s success story about<br />

starting out part-time with Sunrider.<br />

“I don’t know how to sell” or<br />

“I don’t like to sell.”<br />

Many people have the mistaken belief that they need to be a<br />

good salesperson in order to do our business. Here’s a way to<br />

respond:<br />

“I agree! I’m not a salesperson either. Have you ever<br />

talked about a product you loved with a friend, or even<br />

just recommended a great restaurant? It’s about sharing<br />

something you believe in. Our business is more than that. It’s<br />

also about mentoring and inspiring other people to be part<br />

of your team. If I can show you how it works, would you be<br />

interested?”<br />

“I don’t know anyone who’d be<br />

interested.” “I don’t want to sell to my<br />

family and friends.”<br />

There is probably one category of people that Sunrider is not<br />

a business for—people who don’t like other people. However,<br />

most people enjoy interacting with other people and making<br />

new friends and creating additional income for themselves.<br />

This is the business for them.<br />

“Thanks for sharing your concern. When I first started<br />

Sunrider, I didn’t know many people, either. I certainly<br />

didn’t want to bother my family and friends all the time. The<br />

process is simple: I just share what I’m doing, listen and fill<br />

people’s needs, and ask for referrals. As long as you’re open

to meeting new people, I can help you. Sunrider trained<br />

me how to network and to make new friends and business<br />

partners. We can work on this together!”<br />

“I don’t have any money.”<br />

Needing more money is actually why most people start<br />

this business. If you have listened carefully to their need, it<br />

probably relates to money. Now is the time to remind them.<br />

“I agree, the current economy is really tough. I remember<br />

that you were worried about paying off your credit card bills.<br />

Needing that extra income is one of the top reasons people<br />

join us. We have a great compensation plan that helps<br />

people earn extra money right from the start.* I’d love to<br />

share it with you!”<br />

“Is this a pyramid scheme? MLM?”<br />

Unfortunately, some companies have given network<br />

marketing a bad name. When you answer this question, it’s<br />

best not to be defensive or get into an argument.<br />

“Thanks for asking this question. We are definitely not a<br />

pyramid scheme. We’re one of the top MLM herbal health<br />

and beauty companies in the world. Here’s our company<br />

profile. You can see that we self-manufacture and distribute<br />

over 400 products to 50 countries. We’ve been in business<br />

for 35 years. The stability of our company and potential for<br />

future growth is one of the reasons I decided to join. Do you<br />

have any other questions about the business?"<br />

with you? I’d love to keep in touch and let you know about<br />

upcoming products and opportunities. I realize that people’s<br />

lives change, and I’d be happy to help you in the future if<br />

there’s a need. My business grows through word of mouth, so<br />

do you know anyone who would be interested?”<br />

If they answer higher than a 5, but less than a 9 or 10, ask them,<br />

“What would it take to make your answer a 10?” Then you<br />

should answer any final objections and ask them to join you.<br />

Always remember that if they are not interested right now,<br />

they may be interested at a later time, so leave behind a<br />

brochure and business card. They may also be a source of<br />

referrals for you to find your next rising star.<br />

Collect “Nos” on Your Way<br />

to Success<br />

Getting a “no” is never fun, but it’s part of the experience of<br />

growing a business. You may need to go through 10 “nos” to<br />

get one “yes.” So it’s important to stay motivated and excited<br />

even when collecting those “nos,” especially for new IBOs.<br />

Here’s a way to keep the process positive and reward yourself<br />

for sharing the business. Cross off a star for every time you get<br />

a “no.” For every tenth “no,” give yourself a reward!<br />

My Reward:<br />

“I need to talk to my wife/<br />

husband/partner.”<br />

Sometimes, it’s true that partners need to discuss every decision.<br />

Sometimes, this objection is also a way to stall the conversation,<br />

and you’ll need to ask questions to find the true objection.<br />

“I understand that. Is their approval the only thing holding you<br />

back from joining?” If yes, then you can say, “Great! Do you<br />

think your partner will have any objections?” Listen carefully<br />

for any objections and respond to them. Then close with “Why<br />

don’t we set up a call tomorrow at 11:00 am to discuss it?”<br />

Overcoming Objections:<br />

Closing<br />

As you conclude your conversation, ask them if they have any<br />

final questions. Then assess whether or not they are interested<br />

in the opportunity.<br />

For example, “I hoped I’ve answered your questions. Do you have<br />

any final questions? If not, I have a question to ask you. On a<br />

scale from 1 to 10, how interested are you in the opportunity?”<br />

If they answer lower than 5, say, “Thank you so much for<br />

taking the time to talk with me. I know you’re not interested<br />

in the opportunity right now, but can I leave this brochure<br />

love a great party? Our Shake & Tea Party MAP (Marketing Approach Plan) will walk you<br />

through the steps of inviting prospects and hosting a party, but here are three tips to help<br />

you “ace” your party:<br />

1. A personal invitation: You definitely want to overbook your party (e.g., invite 40+<br />

people to have 10 guests), but don’t mass email everyone you know. Instead, reach out<br />

personally—it can make all the difference! If you text, call, or write a personal email,<br />

people are far more likely to respond than if you send out a mass communication.<br />

2. Invite a friend to host a party: If this is your grand opening party, invite your upline to<br />

host with you to help calm those jitters. If this is your second party, invite every guest<br />

from your grand opening party to help you host your next party in your follow-up<br />

calls. A personal phone call works best. You can say, “Thank you so much for coming<br />

to my grand opening party! I didn’t realize how easy and fun it would be. I’d love to<br />

have you help me host my next party and meet your friends, too. I have the following<br />

dates open. Do they work for you?” You’ll be meeting a new social circle that can<br />

expand your business. If they are not interested in hosting at the moment, ask them<br />

for referrals for your next party.<br />

3. Set a goal for each party: For each party, make a goal of signing up at least 2 new<br />

Preferred Customers (preferably on autoship!), and prospecting 1 potential IBO. This<br />

will help your business keep growing in volume, width, and depth.<br />

Sponsoring Is the Solution<br />

Prospecting happens when you go about your daily life. It can also happen more<br />

deliberately by going to local business events, school events, gyms, salons, etc. The key<br />

is to reach out to 10 new people every week and to be a good listener. In our prospecting<br />

and sponsoring training on Sunrider University, we encourage you to ask three<br />

important questions to find out what a prospect’s needs and dreams are.<br />

These 3 main questions work great to get a dream out of people:<br />

• "What do you do?"<br />

• “I bet you are good at it. Do you love it?” Usually, people don’t love what they are<br />

doing. So follow up with the questions, “What would you like to do?”<br />

• Then offer Sunrider as a solution: “If I could show you a way to reach your dream,<br />

would you be interested in that?<br />

Be warm, authentic, and caring when you speak with a prospect. You are planting seeds.<br />

People usually don’t sign up after the first exposure. It can take as many as 12 exposures<br />

before someone joins the business! It’s part of a gratifying relationship as you share the<br />

opportunity, discuss their concerns, and empower them to join you. Some prospects will<br />

start purchasing as customers, some will become IBOs, and others will connect you to<br />

new prospects. But, first, you must plant the seed before anything can grow.<br />

in the Network Marketing Industry<br />

Building a profitable, sustainable business in an ethical way is the aim of network<br />

marketing. If you follow ethical guidelines, work hard, and are driven by your Sunrider<br />

passion for making a difference in the world, you have the opportunity to enjoy a<br />

rewarding business that can last a lifetime.<br />

Successful network marketing depends on quality<br />

relationships. And quality relationships depend on ethical<br />

behavior. If network marketing is to set a positive example,<br />

ethical business conduct must be maintained. As Sunriders,<br />

we should always strive to lead by example, earning trust and<br />

Income Claims<br />

Building a Sunrider business is just like any other business. It<br />

requires commitment, persistence, hard work, time, the right<br />

mindset, and many other qualities. IBOs must not make false,<br />

deceptive, or misleading statements about what it takes to<br />

build a successful business or about how much you can earn.<br />

Misleading income statements include areas such as:<br />

• Stating actual earnings that you or someone makes (if<br />

higher than average earnings). This includes showing your<br />

check or showing a photo of yourself with a check.<br />

• Lifestyle claims, including aspirational areas like travel,<br />

cars, homes, etc.<br />

• Photos that depict lavish lifestyles, for example, scenes of<br />

travel, cars, yachts, etc.<br />

• Saying you can quit your job or that you can earn as much<br />

as a regular job.<br />

These types of statements include anything stated or<br />

expressed in person, online, written in marketing materials, on<br />

social media, etc.<br />

People value authenticity and transparency above all else.<br />

It’s always better to be honest and straightforward. Give<br />

prospects realistic expectations by talking about average<br />

and likely earnings. Let them know what it really takes to<br />

build a successful business. Doing this will likely lead to<br />

trust, teamwork, respect, and harmony—the cornerstones of<br />

sustained success in Sunrider.<br />

What you can say:<br />

You can share the types of bonuses they can earn. For new<br />

prospects, they will be mainly interested in the Retail Sales Bonus,<br />

the Fast Start Bonus, the Star Elite Advancement Bonus, and the<br />

Unilevel Bonus. While we can’t provide prospects with modeled<br />

income scenarios (e.g., recruit 2 a month for 3 months, and you<br />

can earn £750), you can ask your prospects to provide the<br />

scenarios they think they can achieve. For example, “How much<br />

volume do you think you can sell?” Based on their answer, you<br />

can show them how to calculate how much they could make on<br />

the Retail Sales Bonus using our Compensation Plan Brochure.<br />

You can tell them they can earn a £75 bonus when they reach Star<br />

Elite in their first 3 months and that they can earn a £375 bonus<br />

when they reach Ace Royal.<br />

According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a<br />

health product is fraudulent if it is deceptively promoted as<br />

being effective against a disease or health condition but has<br />

not been scientifically proven safe and effective for that<br />

In your talks and training, it’s always best to simply focus on<br />

make it fun from the beginning to the end.<br />

03. Set the time and date<br />

Don’t make your party too early in the morning, or too<br />

late at night. Consider peak hours, and keep it within the<br />

2-hour range. Remember to start and finish on time. Let<br />

your invitees know in advance that there will be a product<br />

and/or business presentation.<br />

04. Invite people<br />

Invite as many people as you can. Use your social media<br />

outlets to post invitations. Then, take photos at your party<br />

to use them as promo for your next parties. In the IBO<br />

find SCRIPTS you can use when inviting people.<br />

05. Focus on the logistics<br />

Keep an agenda of the entire party. Write down the<br />

activities you planned, like: Greeting and Meeting. Tea<br />

Opportunity Forum, and Closing.<br />

06. Have a great attitude<br />

Wear a big sincere smile. Greet your guests with energy!<br />

Be grateful for who is there and don’t worry about those<br />

who are not. Treat people with genuine affection; the idea<br />

is to make the party fun, memorable, and inspiring.<br />

07. Close the deal<br />

After the presentation, ask your guests directly for their<br />

business. Don't beat around the bush; call them to take<br />

• A SunFit ® Advisor will coach and provide people with daily and weekly<br />

follow-ups, nutritional advice, and recognition.<br />

• The participants who reach their goals split the pot equally, less €4 per<br />

participant, which is 10% of the €40 entry fee. This amount will be used for<br />

recognition and/or rewards like T-shirts, gift cards, Sunrider ® products, etc.<br />

HOW TO GET STARTED<br />

Running a Slim Down Challenge is easy, and Sunrider has created all the<br />

marketing and training materials you need. Once you decide to get going,<br />

there are 3 phases to consider:<br />

01. PLANNING<br />

Planning is the pre-production phase of the challenge<br />

• The first thing you need to do is to talk<br />

to your upline about your intentions of<br />

running a Slim Down Challenge; he or<br />

she can give you guidance and support<br />

• Invite people to join the challenge<br />

• Find a place to hold weekly meetings<br />

• Review the Manual to learn how to set<br />

the stations for people to get weighed-in<br />

and measured, and to take their “before”<br />

photo<br />

02. IMPLEM<strong>EN</strong>TING<br />

The second phase of the challenge is the challenge itself!<br />

• Be one-on-one with participants. During the challenge, you and other<br />

IBOs you might have teamed up with will function as coaches<br />

• Once you have the place and the date, throw an opening Shake & Tea Party<br />

• Guide each participant through the stations: weigh-in,<br />

measurements, and “before” photo and use a log to track<br />

the changes<br />

• Establish the logistics for the forthcoming weekly<br />

meetings<br />

• Encourage participants to purchase and consume<br />

SunTrim Shake, SunFit ® Protein Plus, Fortune Delight ® ,<br />

and VitaTaste ® to help them reach their goals<br />

• During the 4 weeks, you will hold weekly meetings.<br />

These meetings are key since they will allow people to<br />

learn about healthy living and Sunrider ® products. They<br />

are also the perfect place to encourage each other and<br />

recognize people’s accomplishments<br />

• Every week you will provide information about nutrition<br />

and health using the 12 short videos Sunrider created<br />

exclusively for the Slim Down Challenge<br />

03. COMPLETING & FOLLOW-UP<br />

This is the most important phase of all three. Once your Slim<br />

Down Challenge ends:<br />

• Organize an award ceremony or<br />

Shake & Tea Party<br />

to recognize the winners<br />

• Promote a new Slim Down<br />

Challenge and invite<br />

people to join<br />

• Sign up new IBOs<br />

• Offer to those who want<br />

to continue with their<br />

weight-loss goals to buy<br />

the SunFit ® Program and<br />

to enroll in Autoship<br />

• Invite all your prospects<br />

and former participants<br />

to the Award Ceremony<br />

• Follow up and don’t forget<br />

to ask for referrals.<br />
