Model Martyna Stępska (Poland)
Can you tell us a little about you? Hello! My name is Martyna, I'm 26 years old. I come
from Poland, living in a small village which is near to Nysa. I work on my daily basis, but
in free time, I pose and photograph a lot. I really like people and get to know their own
stories, and also being in new places. I try to enjoy the moment and use it to the maximum.
I'm a dreamer who believes in miracles. I love mountains, good music and muscle
pain after training. And also... I'm addicted to cinnamon.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? I think that I'm critical
person- I mean I demand a lot from myself, sometimes I need to stop, otherwise perfectionism
could kill real, sensitive side of me. Besides, I'm working on buttocks - but these
are changes that can be made over time with a bit of self-control and work.
How did you start modeling? It was long time ago, I set up my first photoblog with my
first photos of my acquaintances, some views and my self-portraits there. With time, it
added meaning to my life. My boyfriend bought me the first camera. Then I started to
try. Mainly, I tried to make photos of myself- these were also photos on the photoblog.
A certain photographer found me there and invited me to the session. That's how it all
began. I feel in love with the process. Photography showed me a different world, let me
fulfill my small dreams and get to know each other differently. It works like this all the
time. Each session teaches me something new, fresh, and every person I work with,
shows me a different, extraordinary world.
What do you think of the work as a model? Modeling is not my work. It's just like a
break from normal, everyday life. This is the road to making dreams come true. I love to
pose for a session. However, this world is difficult. It requires a lot of faith in yourself
and your abilities, your creativity, individuality, patience and also hard work. It's important
to do your own, no matter what other think about it. You can experience many
unpleasantness, but happiness and satisfaction, which remains after a fine session, I
think compensate the troubles and give big reward back.
What is your beauty regimen? I like what is natural. Of course I have a few favorite
models which I admire very much. I'm impressed with women who have long, strong
hair, eyes full of emotions, feminine shape and have something ethereal. But is there
any ideal for me? No. Everyone is beautiful in their individuality and photography role is
to bring this beauty out.
