Activity name: Workshop “Diversity and Inclusion”<br />

Aim of the activity: To deliver the information about<br />

the exclusion, inclusion, segregation and integration.<br />

Make the difference of the terminology clear to the<br />

audience. Assimilate new knowledge in practical<br />

exercise.<br />

Timing: 30-40 mins.<br />

Materials: Flipchart, scarfs, papers, pens, small<br />

objects for the exercise<br />

Methods step by step:<br />

1. Active Presentation. Present the information on a flipchart, with an active discussion.<br />

2. Visual Exercise. Ask participants to match the pics of group integration`s schemes with<br />

their definitions. We are giving them a possibility to analyze, guess, discuss etc.<br />

3. Visualization of Terms the Equality / the Equity. Provoke attendees with a question “The<br />

Equality. Is it good or bad?” Continue with the discussion and at the very end make the<br />

definition and uncertainness clear to the audience. Prove that the equity is not the same<br />

as inequality, but an integral solution in a group. Find examples that explained when<br />

equity is obligated.<br />

4. Exercise for better understanding. Make groups of 3 people (every group include 3<br />

different nationalities).<br />

Every group have:<br />

• “Disabled” (with a scarf on the eyes)<br />

• “Assistant” (can help not talk)<br />

• “Observer” (can talk not help).<br />

They will receive 3 tasks and change roles inside of a group 3 times.<br />
