NPT INTERRUPTED THREAD TAPER PIPE TAPS<br />

Interrupted Thread NPT Taper Pipe Taps have an odd number of lands, with every other tooth along the<br />
thread helix removed. The chamfer section is left with full threads to facilitate starting the tap.<br />
Interrupted Pipe taps allow better lubrication, free clearance of chips and requires less torque to drive.<br />
These taps are useful when used in tough metals or materials which load the cutting threads of the tap.<br />
Standard chamfer length is 2 - 3.1/2 threads.<br />
