Notices WEST END CHANGES: I hope you have read the article in the Parish Magazine about the West End changes at the 9.30am service. As of next Sunday, everyone will all be invited to receive Communication either at the High Altar or the Lady Chapel. We will trial this for a few months. ADVANCE NOTICE: the next PCC Meeting (discursive) is on Mon, 19 Feb at 7.30pm in the Mercure Hotel, Redcliff Hill. THE CHILDREN’S SOCIETY say ‘thank you’ for the £407.94 we raised at our Christingle service. Last year they worked directly with more than 13,000 children and young people who were experiencing serious problems. They were also involved in making local and national policy changes which improved the lives of more than 3 million children. SALVATION ARMY: the Bristol Easton Corps and Community Church thank us for the £1690.60 raised for them at the Civic Carol Service on 19 Dec. FREEDOM SUPPER IN AID OF UNSEEN (Lent Project) 7pm Fri, 2 March, Faithspace, Prewett Street - please save the date, ticket details soon. Cecile Gillard. TACKLING HOMELESSNESS: on 14 Mar at 6.30pm in Bristol Cathedral, Richard Hawkridge from Streetwise and Jonnie Angel from Crisis Centre Ministries reflect on their work, and the challenges we face as we seek to respond to this most difficult of problems. MOTHERING SUNDAY is on 11 Mar. There are new cards in the Shop today! MILK BOTTLE TOPS: please bring your plastic milk bottle tops and CLEAN black plastic to Jenny Martin or leave them at the back of church. The cosmetic firm Lush will re-cycle them to make tops for their bottles. PARISH OFFICE ACCESS: scaffolding for repairs has gone up over the Colston Parade door to the Parish Office. Please use the entrance in Redcliff Hill. LENT 2018 LENT BOOKLETS are now available – readings, prayers, reflections and actions for each day to deepen our engagement with our Lent Appeal charity, Unseen, & enrich our spiritual journey. £2, proceeds to Unseen. LENT COURSE 2018 will be a 4-week Bible study on themes of modern slavery. Thursdays 22 Feb, 1, 8 and 15 March 8pm at the Vicarage. All welcome. Contact Kat for more information.
