WEST END CHANGES: I hope you have read the article in the Parish Magazine<br />

about the West End changes at the 9.30am service. As of next Sunday,<br />

everyone will all be invited to receive Communication either at the High Altar<br />

or the Lady Chapel. We will trial this for a few months.<br />

ADVANCE NOTICE: the next PCC Meeting (discursive) is on Mon, 19 Feb at 7.30pm<br />

in the Mercure Hotel, Redcliff Hill.<br />

THE CHILDREN’S SOCIETY say ‘thank you’ for the £407.94 we raised at our<br />

Christingle service. Last year they worked directly with more than 13,000<br />

children and young people who were experiencing serious problems. They<br />

were also involved in making local and national policy changes which improved<br />

the lives of more than 3 million children.<br />

SALVATION ARMY: the Bristol Easton Corps and Community <strong>Church</strong> thank us for<br />

the £1690.60 raised for them at the Civic Carol Service on 19 Dec.<br />

FREEDOM SUPPER IN AID OF UNSEEN (Lent Project) 7pm Fri, 2 March, Faithspace,<br />

TACKLING HOMELESSNESS: on 14 Mar at 6.30pm in Bristol Cathedral, Richard<br />

Hawkridge from <strong>St</strong>reetwise and Jonnie Angel from Crisis Centre Ministries<br />

reflect on their work, and the challenges we face as we seek to respond to this<br />

MOTHERING SUNDAY is on <strong>11</strong> Mar. There are new cards in the Shop today!<br />

MILK BOTTLE TOPS: please bring your plastic milk bottle tops and CLEAN black<br />

plastic to Jenny Martin or leave them at the back of church. The cosmetic firm<br />

Lush will re-cycle them to make tops for their bottles.<br />

PARISH OFFICE ACCESS: scaffolding for repairs has gone up over the Colston Parade<br />

door to the Parish Office. Please use the entrance in Redcliff Hill.<br />

LENT <strong>2018</strong><br />

LENT BOOKLETS are now available – readings, prayers, reflections and actions for<br />

each day to deepen our engagement with our Lent Appeal charity, Unseen, &<br />

enrich our spiritual journey. £2, proceeds to Unseen.<br />

LENT COURSE <strong>2018</strong> will be a 4-week Bible study on themes of modern slavery.<br />

Thursdays 22 Feb, 1, 8 and 15 March 8pm at the Vicarage. All welcome.<br />
