be retrained to fly Airbus planes and to obtain a<br />

type-rating for their new workstation. This way,<br />

the airline will be paving the way for 2020 and<br />

the seamless integration of the 25 type A320neo<br />

aircraft that have been ordered. In July 2<strong>01</strong>6,<br />

Germania signed a contract for the delivery of<br />

25 type A320neos with an option on 15 additional<br />

aircraft of the same type. The aircraft on<br />

order will have 180 seats and be equipped with<br />

the latest generation of Pratt & Whitney Pure-<br />

Power® Geared Turbofan engines. A high level<br />

of fuel efficiency and low noise emissions are key<br />

features of these aircraft, which are among the<br />

most modern of their kind.<br />

Falcon Aviation and Leonardo Helicopters partner for new helicopter offshore<br />

and onshore contract<br />

Air Partner Remarketing completes sale<br />

of Beechcraft King Air 200<br />

Air Partner plc has sold 2009-vintage Beechcraft<br />

King Air 200, serial number BB-2<strong>01</strong>4. Air Partner<br />

plc. acted as the exclusive remarketing agent<br />

for the seller Air HH Luftverkehrsgesellschaft<br />

mbH Privat Jets. This sale marks a strong start to<br />

<strong>2<strong>01</strong>8</strong> and follows a successful 2<strong>01</strong>7, in which the<br />

Aircraft Remarketing division won and fulfilled<br />

a number of mandates. Notable transactions<br />

included the sale and delivery of a third Kenya<br />

Airways B777-200ER aircraft to Omni Air International;<br />

the sale of two B747-400s to Jet Midwest<br />

Group on behalf of China Airlines; and the sale of<br />

two of Kenya Airways’ B737-700 aircraft, which<br />

were then leased back to Kenya Airways for continued<br />

operation. The team was also appointed<br />

by Saudi Arabian Airlines as its exclusive remarketing<br />

agent in respect of 15 Boeing 777-200ERs.<br />

It currently has a number of other mandates on<br />

a variety of aircraft, including a B787, several<br />

ERJ145s and an ATR72-500.<br />

GECAS arranges sale-and-leaseback for 10<br />

A320ceo aircraft to Viva Air<br />

GECAS has arranged a sale-and-leaseback, along<br />

with pre-delivery payment financing for Viva Air<br />

in a transaction for ten A320ceo aircraft, to be<br />

delivered in <strong>2<strong>01</strong>8</strong> and 2<strong>01</strong>9. Viva Air has been a<br />

GECAS customer since the inception of VivaColombia<br />

six years ago and their fleet is currently<br />

comprised entirely of A320ceo aircraft powered<br />

by CFM56 engines. The Viva Air Group, which<br />

includes VivaColombia and Viva Air Peru, was<br />

established by Irelandia Aviation and is the first<br />

and only low-cost airline in Colombia and Peru.<br />

Avinco places two A320s with Sundair<br />

Avinco placed two CFM-powered A320s,<br />

MSN4953 and MSN4974, on behalf of LATAM<br />

Falcon Aviation’s Leonardo AW169<br />

Falcon Aviation, one of the UAE’s leading aviation companies specializing in business aviation<br />

services, charter and aircraft management, has confirmed at the Kuwait Aviation Show<br />

that three new Leonardo AW169 helicopters (signed for at the recent Dubai Airshow) will<br />

be deployed on a five-year contract with the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). The helicopters will<br />

perform onshore and offshore oil & gas operations. This debut in Kuwait marks a significant<br />

expansion for Falcon Aviation, which will be adding additional personnel in Kuwait, including<br />

offshore pilots and supportive administration personnel, plus line and base engineers to<br />

start the contract. The first two AW169s will arrive in March, and the third in April, <strong>2<strong>01</strong>8</strong>. Falcon<br />

Aviation will establish all the required infrastructure, including the building of a brandnew<br />

hangar to house the three Leonardo AW169s and create facilities to carry out line and<br />

base maintenance on the type.<br />

Group in the fourth quarter of 2<strong>01</strong>7. The two aircraft<br />

have been placed on lease for 5 years with<br />

Sundair GmbH, a new German airline, partly<br />

owned by Schauinsland-Reisen, one of the biggest<br />

tour operators in Germany. The two aircraft<br />

have been flying to southern European destinations<br />

since the last quarter of 2<strong>01</strong>7.<br />

SkyWorks announces fourth quarter 2<strong>01</strong>7<br />

activities<br />

SkyWorks Holdings has reported transactions<br />

and activities performed during the fourth<br />

quarter of 2<strong>01</strong>7 for its Asset Management activities:<br />

Asset Management Services, provided through<br />

SkyWorks Leasing, included transactions for<br />

11 aircraft and additional services as follows:<br />

SkyWorks sourced and arranged an operating<br />

lease for one 737-300SF on behalf of Modern<br />

Logistics, a Brazilian 3PL and air freight operator.<br />

The aircraft is scheduled for delivery in<br />

February <strong>2<strong>01</strong>8</strong>.<br />

SkyWorks arranged leases for three A330-200s<br />

to Onur Air, Turkey. Two aircraft were delivered<br />

in December, while the third will be delivered<br />

in January <strong>2<strong>01</strong>8</strong>. The aircraft are controlled by<br />

a group of U.S. financial institutions.<br />

On behalf of BancFirst, SkyWorks arranged<br />

the lease return and subsequent sale of one<br />

ERJ135 and arranged the sale of two B767-<br />

300ERs previously leased to Delta Air Lines on<br />

behalf of a group of U.S. financial institutions.<br />

SkyWorks arranged the sale of an ex-American<br />

Airlines B757-200 to Flying Tech, China, on behalf<br />

of a U.S. investor and on behalf of a U.S.<br />

based commercial lender, Skyworks arranged<br />

for a long term lease of one E175LR to Republic<br />

Airline.<br />

SkyWorks provided investment analysis and<br />

advisory services to a U.S. investor, resulting in<br />

the acquisition of one B777-300ER on lease to<br />

Cathay Pacific and one A320 on lease to Scoot<br />

Tigerair.
