Mark 1 Matthew 19 Galatians 3
1 Corinthians 12 Matthew 10 Romans 6
Matthew 19:14 14 but Jesus said, “Let the little children
come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the
kingdom of heaven belongs.”
Galatians 3:47 27 As many of you as were baptized into
Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:13 13 For in the one Spirit we
were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—
and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
Matthew 10:22 22 and you will be hated by all because
of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
Romans 6:3-4 3 Do you not know that all of us who
have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
4
Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so
that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the
Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
Mark 1:9-15 9 In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of
Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 And just as he
was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens torn apart and
the Spirit descending like a dove on him. 11 And a voice came from
heaven, “You are my Son, the Beloved; [a] with you I am well
pleased.” 12 And the Spirit immediately drove him out into the
wilderness. 13 He was in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan;
and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels waited on
him. 14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee,
proclaiming the good news [b] of God, [c] 15 and saying, “The time is
fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; [d] repent, and
believe in the good news.” [e]

SERMON NOTES:
Be Enthusiastic
People 1 Samuel of 17:45-47 Baptism
Mark 1:9-15
Enthusiasm comes from a SPIRITUAL relationship
with a very good God.
With Mark, you sense the IMMEDIACY of the gospel.
Enthusiasm is not so much a product of the
We are ENVIROMENT baptized into as a much new as IDENTITY. it is a POSTURE
of our hearts.
Baptism is not a SAFTEY net.
Enthusiasm is born not out of human STRENGTH, but
Baptism CONFIDENCE is not INSURANCE. in God.
1.) TRUST God daily 2). WALK with God daily.
People of Baptism are on a MISSION.
3.) WORSHIP God daily.
As a kid, David ran into battle to serve his GOD, as
Baptism calls us to be STRAIGHTFORWARD for the
Kingdom king, He of God. walked on the roof to serve his COMFORT.
INTIMACY with God, will get you enthusiastic again.
