Hello FIGS!<br />
It’s been a while and we have soooo much to catch-up on.<br />
Firstly, we are delighted to be able to offer a truly spectacular FIG Annual<br />
Conference 14-16 October 2018 (Depart from 17 Oct). Because HKG is a<br />
regular ‘watering hole’ for many of our FIGS, we have tried to avoid all<br />
the regular ‘touristy’ destinations and have offered experiences that<br />
most visitors would overlook… and all at amazing value!

New Products.– Glopay
As you will know, FIG Admin firmly believes that the future<br />
of transactional banking will look ‘exactly’ like this product<br />
from Glopay. FIG Admin has already registered for a Glopay<br />
account - approval process took less than 5mins.<br />
We are hoping to have a speaker from ‘Glopay’ at our conference<br />
as they are conveniently based in Kowloon!!!

Over the past few months we have plenty of FIG<br />

Our long-standing FIG’s will be aware that we have ‘pruned’ our FIG<br />
family this year to ensure that we have the strongest possible global<br />

At our last FIG Conference, our<br />
CEO announced that he will be<br />
working towards ‘semiretirement’.<br />
There is no question<br />
of FIG ‘winding down’ - quite the<br />
reverse… We have explored various<br />
options to allow more ‘free<br />
time’ including a ‘full-time’ management<br />
option. We found that<br />
none of these options would be<br />
in the best interests of our FIG<br />
Partners… we then realised the<br />
answer was under our noses all<br />
the time! We are a ‘virtual’ business<br />
and already operate with<br />
various ‘virtual’ contractors such<br />
as IT and accountancy. We have<br />
now started the process of moving<br />
more functionality to the virtual<br />
world and, YES, it’s working<br />
and already we are starting to<br />
feel the benefits. Our aim is to<br />
establish KPI’s such as ‘constant<br />
improvement’ / increased global<br />
reach / new project delivery etc.<br />

At Home with The Humphrey’s<br />
As most of you will know, we have a ‘family’ involvement in running our FIG Freight Network…<br />
Thought you may be interested in seeing what we’ve been up to (aside from building<br />
exciting new products for our ‘second family’)…<br />
The Humphrey family live just a few miles from the historic<br />
port of Portsmouth on the south coast of the UK. If you<br />
ever find yourself in the area, please come and say hello...<br />
Dawn had a new (very old) car for Christmas!!!<br />
It’s a classic 1991 FIGARO! (of course) - Only<br />
20,000 made for the 1989 Tokyo Motor Show<br />
and a handful imported to the UK. Dawn’s new<br />
‘pride & joy’ (money pit)!!!<br />

In 1989, The Figaro was introduced<br />
at the Tokyo Motor Show that’s held<br />
every other year at the largest convention<br />
and exhibition centre in Japan,<br />
the Tokyo Big Sight. Naoki Sakai<br />
and Shoji Takahashi’s “Back to the<br />
Future” design really soaked up<br />
many and all possibilities and made<br />
something that one wouldn’t know<br />
which generation it belonged in.
A couple of years ago,<br />
Chris & Dawn celebrated<br />
their ‘Pearl’ wedding<br />
anniversary<br />
(30yrs). To celebrate<br />
the occasion, Chris<br />
produced this reproduction<br />
of Vermeer’s<br />
painting ‘Girl with a<br />
Pearl Earing’. Dawn is<br />
slightly embarrassed<br />
by this ‘work of art’<br />
and we have yet to<br />
find a suitable hanging<br />
space - suggestions?<br />

Tom (pictured with proud Dad, Chris), graduated<br />
from Portsmouth University with a degree<br />
in business and is busy building a career in<br />
‘Digital Marketing’. Already qualified as a Chef<br />
and Musician, Tom will never have to ‘sing for<br />
his supper’…<br />
Recently Tom has been following the ‘Joe<br />
Wicks’ programme for healthy living - some say<br />
his Dad should maybe take a few lessons!!!<br />
Emily is now a fully-qualified Paramedic working for South<br />
Coast Ambulance Service. If you’re ever in this area and<br />
having a heart attack… You can reach her on 999!!!<br />

that one of Chris’ hobbies<br />
is to renovate houses…<br />
We will feature one picture<br />
in each publication of<br />
the renovation of our<br />
100year old house that is<br />
really annoying Dawn...<br />
(well… until Dawn finds<br />
out we are showing the<br />
world her home).<br />
Well… at least the house is<br />
dry and will be warmer<br />
once those radiators are<br />
fitted!<br />

Chris has a regular lunch<br />
appointment each Friday<br />
with his oldest son, Ben.<br />
Ben is ‘partially sighted’ but<br />
still has his own business,<br />
teaching guitar - he qualified<br />
‘top of his class’ at college<br />
and is a gifted guitarist.<br />
Each week the ‘dynamic<br />
duo ‘ try to find a different<br />
pub for lunch and for the<br />
past two years, Ben has<br />
been writing a blog giving<br />
feedback on their dining<br />
experiences.<br />
The ‘blog’ is about to develop<br />
into a full-blown desktop<br />
and mobile application,<br />
where users can offer their<br />
own feedback on pubs<br />
countrywide. With a builtin<br />
‘geo-locator’ users are<br />
automatically offered dining<br />
options with ‘special<br />
offers’ and promotions in<br />
their vicinity. Pubs and restaurants<br />
have their own<br />
login and can add ‘coupons’<br />
and pictures/video/menus<br />
to their listing.<br />
Maybe you guys would be<br />
interested in a country<br />
franchise? Food for<br />
thought!
