Stage 2: Home Readers<br />
• These are small texts that form part of<br />
a structured home reading program.<br />
• The books are at a recreational reading level. This<br />
means they should be relatively easy for your child<br />
and build confidence in their reading. Most words<br />
will be known, or can be determined by looking at<br />
the illustrations.<br />
• Please continue to support students in developing<br />
their bank of sight words, as this will enable them to<br />
become more fluent <strong>with</strong> their readers and access<br />
texts <strong>with</strong> increasing complexity.
