Students with Children
Child Care
The Child and Family Development Center, located on
the east side of the campus, offers full-day programs
for the children of full time (minimum 12 credits) San
Juan College students; a limited number of child
care slots are available for staff and faculty. Infant,
toddler and preschool aged children are eligible for
enrollment. The Center maintains a waiting list and
parents are encouraged to put their child(ren) on the
list at the earliest possible date as the traditional wait
time for enrollment is a year and a half to two years.

Students with Disabilities
If you have documented physical, emotional, or
learning disabilities, the
Disability Services program
is available to assist you.
Students are responsible for
seeking accommodations each
semester. Accommodations may
include audio textbooks, note
takers, test modifications, special
software, etc. For information,

Tutoring Center
If you would like to enhance your learning, then check
out San Juan College’s FREE tutoring services. The
math, writing and science tutoring centers are located
In Student Success Center, Room 1611.
Tutoring is available at the following times.
Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Username and password
What’s my username and password?
The campus logon account is the account you use to
log onto the portal. Your username is the first letter
of your first name, the first letter of your middle name
(if you do not have a middle name, this letter will be
skipped), the first 12 letters of your last name and the
last two digits of your social security number.
Example:
Student name: Buffy A. Summers
Social security #: 123-45-6789
Username: Basummers89
Your email address will be:
username@my.sanjuancollege.edu
Example: Basummers89@my.sanjuancollege.edu
The default password is sjcp + the last four digits
of your social security number. For example if your
social security number is 123-45-6789, your default
password would be sjcp6789.
Password Security
Your San Juan College password gives you access
to your personal student information. Since your
information is confidential, your password should be
kept secure. If at any time you believe your password
security has been jeopardized, you should change
your password. If you forget your password, the Help
Desk will reset it to something only you will know.
Remember . . .
Never tell anyone your password.
You must log on to use any SJC computer.
Test your login accounts in one of the SJC computer
labs before attending your first class. This will
ensure that your accounts are set up correctly and
working properly.

Always log-off the computer when finished.
San Juan College provides every student an email
account through outlook.live.com, with 10
gigabytes of storage space. You may access your
email from the MY SJC portal or mail.live.com.
You can use your laptop computer on the SJC
network if your laptop has a wireless network card.
