Colombo’s newspaper
club: Is happy to present
our edition team for the
news paper project.
“We are a community of
Colombo teenagers that
get together to bring
news and interesting
articles for all
Colombo’s community
to read and be informed
of the monthly
activities.”
In this newspaper you will find many topics
that will interest you if you like to be
informed of what’s happening around
Colombo or the world each month. We also
publish interesting facts and games for you to
be entertained.
The newspaper club accepts all your articles to edit them and
publish them in our monthly number. If you are interested in
journalism, editing the newspaper or just writing articles, you
can attend our weekly meetings every Friday at 4pm or come to
the library on Saturdays 8 to 11am.
The little world
Imagine that the world is
less, that the continents
are connected, that
everyone speaks the same
language, that the animal
lives with us, that you
meet all the famous
person in the world,
imagine that the world is
so little, and we learn to
live together and in peace.
Ja, but is so funny
because if we are in a
little world, we need to
belittle, 7 450 millions of
persons ¡¡¡, we need to be
ants, or the most little
animal in the world,
sadness is just a theory,
maybe we can make this
world a better world.

SHOWCASE.
If you like classic movies, this is your club.
Come and see the best classic movies of the
history. You can practice your listening
skills while having a good time watching
the movie cycles. There are different genres
cycles, such as; action, anime, musical,
music, biographies, sci-fi, book adaptations,
etc.
You can bring your friends and enjoy a
movie night while developing your listening
skill.

beginner and intermediate and up speakers

Omar Hatamleh is the Executive
Director of the Space Studies Program.
Prior to assuming his new assignment,
Omar was the Chief Innovation
Officer, Engineering at NASA Johnson
Space Center responsible for
empowering the organization creative
thinking and develop capacity to
innovate.
Prior to that he was the Associate
Chief Scientist at NASA ARC
responsible for identifying new and
promising areas of scientific research
and supporting technologies that can
be integrated into the Center's
capabilities. Previous roles at NASA
also included Technology Relationship
Manager, Advanced Development
Manager, and Space Shuttle Orbiter
Structures Subsystem Manager.

A Sad Valentine Story
Valentine’s Massacre:
Nicolas Cruz, 19 year old gunman that
killed approximately 17 people at Marjory
Stoneman Douglas School in Parklands,
Florida; school from which he was expelled.
He was carrying smoke grenades and
wearing a gas mask when performing his
brutal act.
Witness bill Nelson told CNN “the attacker
set off the fire alarm so the kids would come
pouring out of the class rooms into the hall
and there carnage began.”
He was having a psychopathic behavior for
a few days in his social net Works. In his
Instagram there are pictures of dead animals
that he killed himself.
While being arrested he had a respiratory
attack. But still was taken to the sheriff’s
office to be charge for first grade murder.
We all hope that all the people affected by
this horrible event get to have peace in their
hearts.

AFTER 3000 YEARS THE
MYSTERY OF THE
SCREAMMING MUMMY IS
DISCOVERED.
Egyptologist and
former minister Zahi
Hawass assured
through DNA
samples that the
mummy was prince
Pentewere. The
prince was sentenced
to death and hanged
for killing his own
father Ramses III,
who ruled in the 12 th
century B.C.
This mummy not only
looked unusual for his
agonizing look on his
face but also for sheep
skin having being
found in its grave.
Experts say the so-called
‘Screaming Mummy’ was
preserved in a manner never
seen before – his limbs were
bound in leather, and the
body wrapped in sheepskin,
indicating it was considered
to be ‘unclean.
And, the mouth was left
agape, as if he’d been
poisoned. According to
ancient Egyptian studies, if
someone was buried and
covered with said skin it was
a sign of un-holiness and unpureness.
This mummy did not have a
traditional mummification
process. The mummy was
found buried next to next to
the royal tombs of the family
but with the disgrace
elements that characterize a
traitor.
Prince Pentewere’s mummy
is now displayed in the
Egyptian museum located in
Cairo as part of a special
temporary exhibition that
shows historical pieces
never seen before.

Bicicross is considered an
extreme sport of vertigo
and passion, is an activity
that increasingly grows in
the country, the difference
is that it is one of the most
exciting and expensive for

sport is very difficult and

What are the benefits of doing exercise?
