EDITOR'S NOTE
Your majesty
You must be thinking “your majesty”? yes, I
have said it and I mean it. Being a Born-
Again Christian, as sons and daughters of the
Most High God makes us kings and lords now
and in the Life to come.
With this magazine being my first ever issue
I have so much to share, thank God there is
more to come.
You must be thinking how did Beauty and
The Gospel Magazine come about? Brace
yourselves for divine connections and the oh
so awesome HOLY SPIRIT. The name was
always there when my mom one night had a
dream about the name Beauty and The
Gospel and what its purpose was. I always
knew I would use it for something, but never
did a magazine come to mind.
You know that light bulb moment when it
hits you, it’s like everything has stood still
and you and that idea are the only thing
that’s alive and matters. Now that’s how I
felt when I was in a cab on the 30th of
November 2017 on my way home. I had
gospel music plugged in to my ears and eyes
roaming around when I saw a lady reading a
magazine that I subscribe to and hadn’t read
it because except for the fashion, travel and
interior I don’t relate. And it hit, or should I
say the Holy Spirit spoke: why don’t you
publish a magazine for Born Again
Christians.
Trust me when I say I froze and didn’t move
an inch hahaha, I wonder if I even blinked.
Thinking about that day and as I type this
right now has me smiling and my Spirit
jumping with joy. Before this idea I’d always
wonder how id minister and where, I guess
my question has been answered and I’m
excited to share it with you.

Firstly, I am crazy about God!
I am currently a Lecturer at UNISA (University of South
Africa) in the department of Life and Consumer
Sciences. I am in possession of two qualifications in
Hospitality Management. I am currently studying
towards a (1) Master’s Degree in Hospitality and
Tourism Management (2) Post Graduate Certificate in
Education.
My passion lies in Culinary, Photography and Home
décor. I love blogging over weekends and spending time
with family and friends. I am a happy person and I love
meeting new people and sharing God with them.
It's easy to impress me. I
don't need a fancy party to
be happy. Just good friends,
good food, and good laughs.
I'm happy. I'm satisfied. I'm

How did you become a Born-Again Christian?
I answered an Altar call during a Sunday church service
in 2009
To you, what does being Born Again mean?
It means living & being aware of God in all that I say &
do: it means being aligned with the Lord’s purpose for
my life.
What is the best thing about being a Born-Again
Christian?
Personally, I would say hearing God’s voice: God is so
funny, he forces me to walk up to strangers in the
middle of grocery stores just to tell them that He loves
them (ahhh gosh). I struggled a lot in the beginning
however I eventually got the hang of it.
What challenges have you faced or still are facing as a
Christian in this world?
Leading others to the Lord
If there is one thing you could change in this world,
what would it be?
The idea that God only uses certain people, there is
enough God for all of us.
Who is King Jesus to Reba?
Jesus is my Everything! Nothing Good can exist outside
of God.
Imagine if Jesus could visit you for one day what would
you say? Where and how would you spend the rest of
the day with Him?
Oh my gosh! We would probably go to a place that to
some extend looks like the Garden of Eden, a picnic
seems like a good idea although I don’t think I will eat
anything (only God can give me words) I honestly don’t
know what I would say to Him except ‘thank you”.

What advice can you give to young Christians?
David's gift was humble. He was a boy with a sling shot
in the midst of experienced soldiers. But David
combined his humble skill with faith, picked up five
smooth stones and slew Goliath. Sometimes we envy
those with more skills than we have, But we shouldn't!
Humble gifts, when combined with faith, are a
powerful weapon. Like David, we need to recognize that
giants are slain not by "sword and spear and javelin" but
by small things done in the Name of the Lord (1 Samuel

These days the gospel has
changed quite a lot. There are
so many ministries and
churches but people do not
know who the Lord Jesus Christ
is. Most preaching’s do not
teach about Jesus Christ but
emphasize on miracles and
prosperity. People run after
these and Jesus Christ has been
taken out of the race. Listen
carefully and you will
understand there are two kinds
of Jesuses are preached. The
first one is preached by some
and they say a lot about him.
Their sermons revolve around
Him, this is the Jesus of the
Bible. This one is authentic,
powerful, Saviour of the world.
He owns heaven and has the
Name that is above all names
(Phil 2: 8-11). The one who
doesn’t need to prove Himself
to anyone that He is God. The
way, truth and life (John 14; 6).
Jesus who is everything. . Now
coming to the second Jesus. In
most sermons and churches
there is this Jesus who is so
weak and almost non-existent.

THERE IS NO
He is so quiet and almost mute. He always has to
show people stunts to prove himself, who
constantly needs peoples’ help. He is assisted by
water, oil, miracles and many tangible things. Sits at
the corner like a child and waits to be given a
chance. He is totally invisible, under people’s mercy
and their sermons are preached without the name
of Jesus being mentioned at all.
HELP
My question to you is “which
Jesus are you serving”? The
Jesus of the bible or the Jesus
of the church? Are you born
again? Have you accepted
Jesus Christ as your Saviour
(John 1;12)? Have you said
the sinner’s prayer? If you
want to accept Jesus Christ as
your Lord and Saviour (Rom
10:9-11) Say this prayer and
believe with all your heart
and you will be born again
according to the bible.

Travelling broadens the mind
As Christians we need to careful
and aware of the countries we
travel to. Some countries are
dominated by a certain religion
that wants nothing to do with the
Christianity let alone the name of
Jesus Christ.
No one wants to travel and end up
feeling like a prisoner, regretting
why they left home in the first
place. Let’s not allow our spirit to
suffer because of an environment
we could have easily avoided.
Some countries are ruled by
demonic spirits, the minute you
set foot in that country, you could
be bound and harassed by those
spirits. Spiritual warfare we call
it. What inspired this article is my
love for travel and a true story
that my aunt shared with us about
her recent travel to a certain
country which was affordable, and
I must add is very beautiful but is
dominated by a certain religion.
She came back very sick and the
doctors could not see what the
problem was. Nothing hurts like
being in pain and not having
anyone be able to diagnose the
symptom. Miraculously she is now
healed, thanking Jesus for that.
Let’s not take God’s grace and
mercy for granted. On a lighter
note, during the holidays I got to
visit Mpumalanga which is in
South Africa, all I could say is;
Lord Jesus may I never lose Your
wonder.

TESTIMONY

This is the first part of my husband Abduls’ Testimony, I love you
sweetheart. Regranned from @jesus_i_thirst_for_u_ Instagram
page. Part 1- A small part of my testimony, people need to see
who Jesus is.
This was Jesus in my life. He took my filth for me and yes I used
to shoot up meth and do lots of other things, like watch porn for
days on end, fornicate, use tons of foul language and rob etc…by
the way I was perfectly happy in my sin and didn’t want God and
He delivered me from all of that
I was a gang member, scammer, liar a no good dirty sinner who
committed many crimes because of them they were going to give
me 20 years in prison for 4 counts of robbery but Jesus the
faithful King saved me. When I met Jesus I literally felt His Holy
presence all around me, I fell on my face because He is and was
Holy. I accepted Him in my heart and could literally feel Him dying
for me on the cross. I was then able to see Him 24 hours a day
for years with transformation so powerful that I was facing 20
years in the craziest and most dangerous prison in America but
the King of the universe saved me. I felt free as a bird while I
was in a super max prison now that’s what you call real freedom.
I’ve never felt free as I did in my whole life as I did whilst I was in
jail facing 20 years, I would sing Jesus set me free. He’s Jeshau
the bloodied Saviour, who took my filth and everyone else’s on
Him and suffered in a way none of us could ever endure. His
blood ran crimson red while my sins washed white as snow, it
would’ve been just and fair even if He didn’t sacrifice Himself for
us. He would have allowed us to burn in hell because it’s our very
own sins that separate us from Him. Oh the love He has for us
runs so deep, deeper than all the oceans and deeper than any
abyss, higher than mountains upon mountains of sin. He delivered
me from being deported, 20 years in prison, gangs and death. I
would go back and do them again but He did it again, deliver me.
Is He not the greatest God, King and Saviour? And am I not the
most wretched of all things? Hallelujah lets praise the Mighty
NAME OF GOD AND ASK JESUS TO COME IN.
