EDITOR'S NOTE
Your majesty
As I reflect on the 1st issue of
Beauty&TheGospel and the feedback
received, I’m genuinely still blow away and
so ever grateful.
You know, sometimes in life the very same
things we personally take to be small things
are actually a big deal, especially to others.
It makes one realize how the “small things”
well if they ever are, are actually big. Just
like where we are spending our immortal
lives.
Have you ever taken time to ask yourself: If I
were to die now, where am I going to spend
the rest of my immortal life? This is a
question that every one of us needs to ask
ourselves more often because just like the
Rapture we have no idea when that day/hour
will be. I love how some guy says: “if we can
just put it in our heads and hearts that this
world is merely a mirage, façade and how
temporary it all is”. In this issue we have an
article written by our regular writer M.K who
talks about: If you don’t know Jesus, don’t
die! Now if that doesn’t give you goose
bumps, I don’t know what will.
Please take your time and introspect while
you still have the time because our King
Jesus is coming back any second. In this
issue we also celebrate an awesome servant
of the gospel Rev Billy Graham, who lived
for our King and contributed so much to the
Gospel and I’m certain Heaven threw a huge
welcoming party.
Ok, let me leave it there, enjoy every second
of this issue and don’t forget to share it as

Who is Mogomosti also known as Z_LUS
the ZEAL personally and professionally?
Personally I’m a coach who works with
children, we generally do physical
education by the way I love working with
children. Then professionally Z_lus is
trying to pay Mogomosti’s bills (lol). I’m a
rapper and poet who is part of a group
called WeWillWorship and a hip hop artist
coming out as a solo artist.
How and when did you become Born
Again?
Where do I start? Well I grew up in a
Christian home. I was taught about Jesus
from a very young age, a seed was
planted from birth. With that church is
all I knew but I personally made the
decision to accept Christ at the age of
12. It happened one Sunday when the
Pastor did an altar call and I just found
myself in the front to accept Jesus.
When I say the name Jesus what come to
mind?
A Healer. The reason why I say Healer is
because He came to restore and when
restoration comes through, everything
will be fine.
You are a poet and rapper right.
How did you decide to combine
that craft with the Gospel?
Initially when I started writing I
was mostly alone in my room. What
I would write would come out of my
heart and what was in my heart
was Jesus. I started as a poet then
later transitioned into rap which
developed from there. I later
realised that what was flowing in
my heart is what I wrote and that
happened automatically.
When did you become part of
WeWillWorship and how has the
journey been so far?
The journey has been amazing. The
reason why I say amazing is
because we have seen lives change
and being transformed. Also having
to see how Worship can be
extended beyond the boundaries of
our country and culture because
WeWillWorship is a multicultural
movement that is there to combine
the rainbow nation whilst
proclaiming the name of Jesus.
When writing material for gigs or
collaborations, what goes into that and
what inspires you?
One always has to prepare for gigs. My
aim is to stay relevant and consistent, so
preparation and research are very
important. Then when it comes to the
actual writing, my inspiration is God and
finding ways or should I say words to
describe Him, which I must say excites
me.
You have a new single out, please take us
into the process from the beginning and
the decision to release it on your
birthday?
Ok, so my new single is titled “Back to
Basics”. I’ve been wanting to release it
for some time now, but you know with
everything, it has its time and so
happens that my birthday was the
perfect time. With the cover, I asked
Bonga Cele to design it and hey he did an
excellent job.

To someone listening to your single, what do you want them to know?
Back to Basics is about us humans not complicating life. You know
we've somehow complicated life, where by simple things like 1+1 have
now become a complicated equation which is not bad but becomes
confusing in a sense. We tend to do a lot of things just to get to that
one thing, which is also adds to why I wrote it. Let’s just get back to
the basics.
What are the perks of being Born Again?
One thing that remains as a perk to me has to the fact that I’m able to
believe in Something Greater than what exists as physical matter. So
being able to believe in the Supernatural more than just believing in
the physical. We need not forget that the flesh will eventually die and
if my material possessions where to be taken away, I’d have my soul
and that for me is the greatest advantage ever given to man.
What challenges have you faced or are still facing as a Born Again
Christian male?
Sexual immorality, pornography, masturbation, slight depression,
insecurities and family dysfunction. Those would be some of the
things and I’m certain that there is someone out there who is not born
again and is going through the same things. My advice to someone
going through the same thing is Jesus is the Way, Truth and Life.

If Jesus were to visit you for one day, what
would you say to Him and how would you
spend the rest of the day with Him.
Firstly, I’d be like: yoo whats up and I say
this because I’d want to see His response
as that’s the culture I’m used to especially
that kind of greeting. Ok on a serious note
though, I’d ask Him if I’m faithful and on the
right track? Then when it comes to
spending the rest of the day, I’d love for us
to spend it doing the things I love and that
would be playing basketball, go to the
studio and ask Him to throw a young song,
rap or poem about me.
If you could change somethings about the
modern church, what would it be?
Writing our own songs and the
conversations. We need to start talking
about issues that people are facing on a
daily basis. Create an environment that
allows one to be free and support which is
where scripture comes in.
What can you say to the young Christian
who has decided that they will become
committed to Jesus and the gospel when
they are older?
I’d say it’s a journey, take it step by step,
back to the basics and don’t complicate
life. Read the word, serve in church which
is very important because it’s good to be
around a community that can witness the
things you are doing and are able to call
you out on them. Lastly, do not allow
anyone to look down on you because you
are “young”.
Last words or rather advice for the young
Christians?
Seek healing in your soul. Pursue being
well in your soul because once that is
alright then everything else will be okay.
The way you pursue money or your dreams
and how you handle yourself will always
result to the way you are holding your soul
together and who your giving it to. Take
care of your soul, seek healing and the be
comfortable with the uncomfortable.

Hello beautiful people. My name is Elizabeth and I run
@christinspiredjoy on Instagram. I’m from the United States and live
in North Carolina, sadly I don’t live at the coast, so no beach living for
me yet. I am 14years old and I would say that I have been a Christian
my whole life. My mother is also a Christian and spends time daily
reading her Bible, she raised me to be Christian but I must say at first
I didn’t really understand any of it but I appreciate it a lot now that I
do.
I’ve still got a lot to learn but I’m excited about being part of the

I was travelling on the
freeway one day when my
eye caught a sign at the
church next to the freeway. It
was written “IF YOU DON’T
KNOW JESUS, DON’T DIE”;
this gave me something to
think about.
Hebrews 9:27 says: “It is
appointed for men to die
once, but after this the
judgement”. Now the only
way to escape judgement it’s
by accepting Jesus Christ as
your personal Saviour, He
sacrificed Himself to save us
Romans 14:11.
You are safe when you are
still alive because you can
always turn around from
your sins and repent. Trouble
starts the day your spirit
leaves your body. Religion
has made salvation so weak
and unnecessary.
Unfortunately this is the only
way to escape God’s
judgement. John 3:3-7, verse
7 says: “You must be born
again”. This isn’t a choice but
a command and whenever
anyone chooses to act or live
against God’s commands or
principles there are always
consequences. “Be not
deceived, God is not mocked;
for whatever a man sows,
that he will also reap
(Galatians 5; 7).
YOU MAY THINK
YOU CAN LIVE

People are living life like there is no tomorrow,
some will even tell you that God is love therefore
the existence of hell is a false doctrine. Yes, you can
enjoy life and do whatever you want, it’s your
prerogative. But that dreadful day when you leave
this body to go and face your Creator, trust me you
don’t want to stand before God and hear these
dreadful words “ And I will declare to them, I never
knew you; DEPART FROM ME, you who practice
lawlessness” ( Matthew 7:23). Nobody wants to be

IT WAS THE HAND OF
GOD
We at Beauty&TheGospel have decided to add on a new regular article which is called: IT WAS THE HAND OF
GOD.
You know so many times as Christians, wait let me say as human beings we face encounters that can only be
solved by Jesus. These types of situations once solved, make you sit and be in awe of how a human could have
never solved that.
Thank God we have one to share with you in this month’s issue. We got to hear Mrs Makhatini’s story, it’s true
and truly reflects how awesome God is and truly cares for each and every one of us. You can also share yours

Being an educator we encounter a lot of things
especially with the fact that we are surrounded by
multiple personalities from different back rounds.
You not only are an educator but also become
everything the children need you to be, just like this
incident that happened.
A child with a breathing problem known as asthma
had unfortunately lost her breathe, suffered an attack
and was found with no pump around. Normally when
a child is not feeling well they are sent to the sick
room to be attended by the school nurse and if it’s
severe an ambulance is called, and we wait. So, this
incident was no different, protocol was followed and
we called an ambulance. Now the problem starts
when in those minutes of waiting anything can
happen, this is where God showed up
The child asked that I be called and I wondered why
me? I have no medical experience but my God did.
When I got to the child the first thing that came to
mind is, personally there is nothing I can do but pray,
for my God is a healer. After praying I told the child I
had to go back to class and teach and shouldn’t
worry, she will be okay. I did just that, but now the
surprising thing is I had totally forgotten about her
until someone mentioned her name and I asked how
she was doing and to my surprise the child slept a
while and later went home. There was no need for an
ambulance and she was doing just ok.
God is truly a healer and this incident definitely
proves that IT WAS THE HAND OF GOD. He shows up
and makes everything become new.

When the Lord saved me while I was in prison, the
whole room shifted and I was laying on my bed,
reading the Bible as I was reading the words of the
Bible I had come to life. As I read I literally felt like I
was there with Jesus as He healed and performed
many miracles, displaying His sinlessness and Agape
love. I had read the Bible once before but never
understood it but as I read through the book of John I
began to fall in love with Jesus and tears started to
flow slowly till it got to the part where they arrested
Him. I become furious and they beat Him, I was so
angry and then He went to the cross. I began to cry
profusely. As I reached the part where the Lord was
risen, all of a sudden, the Holy Mighty Magnificent
presence of God engulfed me while I was laying face
down, looking into the Bible. Right there and then God
showed me that He was the one who had died for me
on the cross and that He was Jesus, that it was my sins
as gang member that nailed Him there.
He then started to give me flash backs of all the
situations in my life where He had revealed Himself to
me and all the times He protected me from bombs
and the shrapnel as I lived in a 7-year war in Iran Vs
Iraq. So many times, the Iraq fighter planes came to
drop bombs on us.
I was walking home from school, as the sirens in the
city went off and I realized that I had to try and run
home for safety because I was far from the bomb
shelter. So, as I was running full speed the first bomb
dropped, I was picked up by the concussion of the
explosion and had thrown 10 feet through someone’s
door. As I was running by, I didn’t have a scratch on
me.
Another time it was at night and pitch black as I was in
my house with my mom and they came to bomb, all
the lights of the city where turned off and we had no
electricity, but I had a flashlight. I was flashing it in the
sky while the fighter planes were looking for their
target, but God didn’t let them see me.
