Half Marathon will take<br />
place this year on<br />
Sunday 2<strong>1st</strong> October and<br />
is set to be once again be<br />
one of the town’s biggest<br />
and most successful<br />
community participation<br />
events.<br />
The event will incorporate<br />
2 new events in <strong>2018</strong><br />
with the addition of a 5<br />
Mile Challenge and a<br />
Wellbeing Challenge.<br />

Agents and Chesterfield<br />
Borough Council, this<br />
event has a fantastic and<br />
challenging course<br />
through the heart of<br />
Chesterfield.<br />

Partners for the event are<br />
once again Ashgate<br />
Hospicecare and<br />
Bluebell Wood Children’s<br />
Hospice. Runners last<br />
year generated over<br />
£50,000 for charities in<br />
the Chesterfield region.<br />

mile and last four miles<br />
of the Half Marathon<br />

Wellbeing Challenge<br />
A new edition for <strong>2018</strong><br />
Organisations and<br />
groups of people can<br />
enter the Wellbeing<br />
Challenge. To complete<br />
the challenge you must<br />
enter 2 people in each of<br />
the following races:<br />
Redbrik Chesterfield Half<br />
Marathon, 5 Mile<br />
Challenge and the Fun<br />
Run. This could be a<br />
family group including<br />
children in the Fun Run<br />
or a business – both<br />
groups promoting<br />
healthy living.<br />
Fun Run<br />
A short 1Km route<br />
around Queens Park for<br />
everybody young and old.<br />
