Communique From the Chair
I was so excited last year to have the "monthly rental home"
behind us sell to a young family. I introduced myself one day as they were
working outside on the home to let them know that I'm here to help. We
exchanged numbers and periodically check on each other about suspicious
activities in the alley. To recap on our last meeting, February 21, Officer
Wold explained it only takes 5 neighbors to form a Block Watch. We all
need to know our neighbors. Not to be nosy, but to protect, report
suspicious activity and aid one another in an emergency. The more we can
report to the police, the more information they have to prosecute and
protect us as Everett citizens. Block Watch neighbors should meet
quarterly. It can be a quick meeting to combine reports or a BBQ. Call
Officer Wold at 425-257-7497 and she will attend to guide you in your
efforts.
