Entries Of ‘All Things
Digital’ Sought For
Temecula Digifest
The nonprofit JDS Creative Academy is seeking
sponsors, speakers and entries of “all
things digital” for it’s second annual Digifest
set for April 13 through 15 in Temecula.
Any media which is designed or enhanced digitally,
including film, video, animation, music,
games, photography, graphics and comics, can
be submitted for the event and competition.
Entrants must be ages 10 and up, and there are
student, amateur and professional categories.
The deadline to enter is March 31.
The event will include speakers from the
digital media field, presentations, workshops,
screenings, digital exhibits, and expo vendors,
and will take place at JDS Studios, 28069
Diaz Road in Temecula and in other locations
around the city.
According to a news release from the group,
speakers include John Corser from NBC/Universal,
Disney Animation Developer Mike
Morris, Cartoon Network Animators Justin
and Josh Parpan, and Creative Suite Trainer
David Creamer, who will present an Adobe
After Effects workshop. The event will also
feature a presentation of “Marsha Hunt’s Sweet
Adversity.”

Round One Bringing
Bowling, Arcade Games
To Temecula’s
Promenade Mall

Round One Entertainment is planning to
open next spring inside the Promenade Mall
in Temecula.
The center will offer bowling and arcade games
and be located on the first floor of the Sears
building. The Sears store will now operate on
the second floor, according to a news release.
The new entertainment center is expected to
be nearly 50,000 square feet. It is expected to
open in spring 2019, according to the release.
The Temecula entertainment center will join
other locations at the Moreno Valley Mall and
Puente Hills Mall in City of Industry. (as reported

Temecula Announces
New City App
Temecula residents will now have news, events,
information, and services in the palm of their
hands with the new City of Temecula App.
The City of Temecula App is designed to enhance
citizen engagement by streamlining access
to City
information. Within the app, you can find information
regarding City parks and facilities,
contact information, news, social media feeds,
and event calendars. You can also view Channel
3, Temecula TV directly on your device.
In addition to providing information, the City
of Temecula App allows access to City services.
Residents will have the ability to report nonemergency
issues to the City at any time of the
day or night. Issues such as potholes, graffiti,
homeless concerns and more can be reported
quickly and easily using photographs, location,
and other information about the issue. Once
the issue is submitted, staff is notified, and
the resident can track the status of their issue
through the app.
“The City of Temecula strives to be accessible
to our residents, and the City of Temecula App
is a tool they can use to quickly access information,
services, and resources from the City,”
said Mayor Matt Rahn. “With the prevalence
of mobile devices today, apps like this allow
residents to not only stay informed, but is an
additional option to interact with the City on
various topics.”
