was simply one little but very striking part of the multi-layered experience of<br />
sights, sounds and scents that can make almost any walk feel wonderful.<br />
It seems to me that there is a parallel here to faith and worship. If we are<br />
content merely to have faith but not to express it and to nourish it in the<br />
context of worship, we deprive ourselves of the multi-dimensional experience<br />
of being with other people, some of whom may affirm our faith position while<br />
others may challenge us or even reveal aspects of faith and practice that we<br />
had never previously encountered.<br />
To be with others, in worship and even in conversation over coffee<br />
afterwards, can be enriching far beyond anything we can possibly know when<br />
we make our faith simply a private matter between ourselves and God. If<br />
you haven’t been at church for a while why not come back again soon?<br />

Peebles & Eddleston<br />
What we’re up to.<br />
A Bite and a Blether<br />
A Bite and a Blether continues to flourish with 29 people attending on Wednesday<br />
21st February. We were also delighted to welcome three children from P7 at<br />
Eddleston Primary School who came along to help out. For a donation of £2.50<br />
come and enjoy the camaraderie, a bacon roll or vegetarian alternative, home<br />
baking and tea or coffee. A warm welcome awaits.<br />
Arrangements for Easter Day at Eddleston<br />
An open air service will take place at 8.00am in The Orchard on Station Road. This<br />
will be followed by a continental style breakfast in the Village Hall. Worship4All for<br />
Easter Day will take place at 11.45am in the church.<br />
Eddleston Church Cleaning<br />
Monthly church clean will take place on Monday 26th March at 9.30am. Last month<br />
lots of volunteers turned up and we were finished within an hour!<br />
Christian Aid Week…help required<br />
Help is requested for a simple task during Christian Aid week (13 th to the 19 th May)<br />
this year. Could you assist in dropping envelopes to houses in Peebles? There are<br />
no collections, just dropping them off. If you can help cover even just your street<br />
