In recent years, lab animals and a few people<br />
have controlled computer cursors or<br />
robotic arms with their thoughts, with the help<br />
of brain implant wired to machines. Firstly,<br />
this was experimented on a monkey whose<br />
leg was paralyzed. It was proved; as the<br />
monkey started thinking it could move its right<br />
leg.<br />
Now researchers are taking a significant next<br />
step towards reversing paralysis once and for<br />
all. It is done by, wirelessly connecting<br />
the brain-reading technology directly to<br />
the electrical stimulators on the body. This<br />
creates a “neural bypass”, so that people’s<br />
thoughts can again help them to move their<br />
limbs. The main motto of this technology<br />
is to improve rehabilitation, and is not<br />
meant to be a permanent fix .This may lead<br />
