She is a strong advocate for mental health wellness and breaking the stigma surrounding<br />

mental illness, having personally lived with diagnosed depression and anxiety since she was<br />

a child. In addition, Bobbi-Sue Doyle-Hazard is the host of Leveling the Playing Field, a podcast<br />

featuring women who work in sports. The podcast came about as result of Bobbi-Sue’s passion<br />

for supporting women in business and leadership roles, especially in sports. On Leveling the<br />

Playing Field, Bobbi-Sue conducts casual, conversational interviews with women who are<br />

making their marks on the industry.<br />

Dr. Sylvia Campbell<br />

General Surgeon in Private Practice<br />

Sylvia D Campbell, MD, was Board Certified in General Surgery in 1983. She earned her<br />

undergraduate and masters degree at Emory University in Atlanta GA and her Doctorate of<br />

Medicine at the University of South Florida, where she completed her general surgery residency.<br />

Dr Campbell has been in surgical practice for over 30 years in the Tampa Bay area and is a<br />

Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She has served on the Executive Committee of<br />

the Board of Governors for the American College of Surgeons and currently serves on the<br />

Advisory Council of Operation Giving Back of the American College of Surgeons. She was<br />

instrumental in the early development of Trauma Systems in the state and country and served<br />

as the Chair of the Florida Committee of Trauma as well as the national Chair of the Injury<br />

Prevention Subcommittee of the American College of Surgeons.<br />

Other activities include her extensive contribution to the local community as active volunteer<br />

and President of the Board of the Judeo-Christian Clinic, a free medical clinic in Tampa.<br />

Dr Campbell has served on the Board of the Medical Benevolence Foundation of the<br />

Presbyterian Church and as an elder in the Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church. She has served<br />

on mission trips to Haiti and Uganda since 1996, and has been involved in helping children<br />

travel to the US for life saving care. Dr Campbell currently serves as the President of the<br />

Board of Directors of Village Partners International, a 501C not for profit, interfaith organization<br />

which provides health care, education, housing and self-sustaining skills to the Village of Papoli in<br />

Uganda, medical care in Haiti and support of Beth El Mission in Wimauma Florida. Recognizing<br />

her lifetime of leadership and service, Dr. Campbell was inducted into the Hillsborough County<br />

<strong>Women</strong>’s Hall of fame on March 22, 2018.
