Abandonment to Healing:
Overcome Your Patterns of Self-Sabotage
Abandonment is a primal human fear
and the underlying cause of emotional
distress and dysfunction. Susan Anderson,
psychotherapist and author of Taming
Your Outer Child and Journey From
Abandonment to Healing will share
powerful tools of emotional and spiritual
healing to help you reverse abandonment’s universal wound.
You will learn exercises for each of the 5 stages of abandonment
(shattering, withdrawal, internalizing, rage and lifting); how to
conquer “abandoholism” and other Outer Child behaviors; how
to make new connections and find lasting love. Whether you’re
experiencing a recent breakup, a lingering wound from the past,
or struggling to overcome self-defeating patterns, the tools will
propel your growth, help restore your sense of self, and increase
your capacity for love.
Susan Anderson, psychotherapist and workshop leader, has
spent 30 years of groundbreaking research, scholarship and clinical
Come celebrate the importance of
family in a beautiful natural setting.
Participate in parenting workshops
while your children enjoy crafts,
movement and outdoor play with
trained early childhood educators.
Spend family time soaking in the
pools and exploring the nearby forests and rivers. Enjoy this
opportunity to gather new skills and build a community to
support you on your parenting journey.
This year we will focus on creating family life that nurtures
the physical, emotional and intellectual dimensions of each
family member. We will learn how to teach children by engaging
their hearts, hands and heads with natural rhythms and a
reverence for nature.
We will discuss how to bring healthy food and eating habits
to the whole family to support optimal growth and development
of the body, mind and spirit. We will include the children in
family activities by making a special body care product to take
home and by joining together to sing, dance and move each day.
Healthy gluten-free and dairy-free organic snacks will be
served.
Spiritwalker: Accessing the Inner Worlds for
Power, Knowledge and Spiritual Healing
As we approach the end of our current
cycle of ages, increasing numbers of Western
spiritual seekers are learning to access the
inner worlds for power and protection,
support and healing, utilizing an ancient
method of meditation called shamanic
journeywork. This weekend workshop
will provide participants with a powerful
introduction to the shaman’s path, leading
them into connection with their helping spirits and spirit
teachers, exploring the issue of personal empowerment. The
weekend will close with a healing ritual. Bring a hand drum or
rattle, a notebook, an eye shade and a light blanket.
Hank Wesselman, anthropologist, has spent much of his life
with traditional people in Africa. He is the author of eight books on
shamanism. His most recent are The Bowl of Light: Ancestral
Wisdom from a Hawaiian Shaman and Awakening to the Spirit
World (with Sandra Ingerman).
