Monday Gathering for Angels
Timothy Quintos writes how Acacia Angel Ate Vilma Retoran,
31, and fellow kasambahays –Suzette Sayam and Genalyn
Tambot, organized their own weekly prayer gathering.
“Parang imposible naman yata yung iniisip natin,” Vilma,
a native of Aklan who came to Manila to work for a family, told
Suzette.”
They had just come from The Feast Bay Area with their
employers Ronald and Anna Rellera and their children. The Rellera
couple have already been holding Feast Light Family, more
popularly known as Feast Video at their home and Vilma and
Suzette wondered how they could invite their friends to this session
where they would be watching a recording of Bro. Bo Sanchez’s
talks and discuss it afterward and end with a prayer.
During the interview, Vilma tells this writer, “Si Kuya Ronald
at Ate Anna, parang pamilya ang turing sa amin. Kaya minsan,
nakasama din kami sa Feast. Ang saya namin. Kaya naisip naming
mag-Feast Video din.”
Is it really possible for us to start our own Feast Video? Who
are we but mere helpers? Who will listen to us? Where would we get
our own equipment? Plus, we don’t even have our own place. These
were the questions the duo asked themselves when they were
weighing the possibility of setting up a Feast in their neighborhood.
“Talaga?”
“Si Kuya Ronald at si Ate Anna na raw ang bahala sa lahat
para puwede na nating simulan ang sarili nating Feast Video.”
The two were very happy.
In October 2016, with the blessings of their bosses, they
launched their own prayer meeting and named it Feast Video
Acacia Angels. The group gathers every Monday from 8:30 to 9:30
PM at the Rellera home in Acacia, Taguig.
It was not easy at the beginning. Some of the friends they
asked declined their invitation. “Busy raw kasi sila.”
They faced other challenges like Suzette had to go
home to Bacolod to take care of her sick sister. Her replacement,
Genalyn Tambot, was also eager to help out in the mission.
Unfortunately, she too had to go back home to grieve the death of
her daughter.
Today, they have 10 regular attendees every week. In
that part of Taguig, Monday night has become an opportunity for
these kasambahays to bond with each other and to spend time
listening to God’s Word and Bro. Bo’s teachings.
“Dahil sa Feast Video, lumalim ang faith namin. Marami
kaming natutunan, gaya sa health, finances and relationships,”
Vilma ends.

“Hindi ko talaga alam ang gagawin o kung paano sisimulan
pero alam kong dapat talaga namin itong gawin,” Vilma said.
Then one day, after eating lunch, Suzette ventured to ask
their boss, Anna. She started by saying, “Ate, ang ganda po ng Feast,
andami po naming natutunan ni Vilma.”
“Mabuti naman nagustuhan n’yo,” Anna replied.
“Ate, puwede din po ba naming imbitahan ‘yung mga
kaibigan po namin?”
“Alam mo maganda ‘yang iniisip mo. Gusto n’yo ba
magtayo ka ng sarili n’yong Feast Video? Kami na ang bahala ni Kuya
Ronald sa lahat.”
After their conversation, Suzette immediately searched for
Vilma in the house.
“Vilma, yung pinoproblema natin sinagot na ni Lord,”
Suzette said.
