Gun safety regulations
that even NRA members
should support
As the nation grieves over the endless
school shootings and policy makers try
to understand what can be done to prevent
mass shootings, sensible gun safety should
be part of the answer. A majority of
Americans — including gun-owning
Americans and National Rifle Association
(NRA) members — back sensible gun
regulation. gun advocates overwhelmingly
support common-sense measures typically
described as “gun control.” These include:
1. Requiring criminal background checks
on gun owners and gun shop employees.
2. Prohibiting terrorist watch list members
from acquiring guns.
3. Mandating that gun-owners tell the
police when their gun is stolen.
4. Concealed carry permits should only be
restricted to individuals who have
completed a safety training course and are
21 and older. (You want a gun before you
are 21... join the army)
5. Concealed carry permits shouldn’t be
given to perpetrators of violent
misdemeanors or individuals arrested for
domestic violence.
6. No guns may be purchased by any
individual that has failed a mental health
evaluation. More than three people
warning officials about a potential lunatic
would require a mental health evaluation.
7. Require three references from non family
members required for gun ownership.
8. Culpibility for the actual owner of a gun
committed in a crime.
9. Permit any government school teacher
that is willing to train for a concealed
permit to have one in the classroom. (or try
home schooling. Not many shootings
there.)

10. Incarcerate any parent that
inadvertantly supplied the weapon to a
deranged child.
11. Revoke permanantly the right to own a
firearm if said person ever made idle
threats on social media.
