With a network of over 450 chambers of commerce and boards of
trade, representing 200,000 businesses of all sizes in all sectors of the

Canada, and the country’s most influential. The primary and vital
connection between business and the federal government, our views
are sought after and respected by government, business leaders and
the media thanks to our well-researched reports, analyses, position
papers & policy resolutions that reflect a broad business perspective.
Chamber Auctions
We host 2 auctions each year; a Silent Auction for Chamber Members at the
Business Excellence Awards and an Online Auction to promote local business
outside the area held in the Fall.
As a non profit organization that relies on membership fees and events, this is
one way the Chamber is able to help sustain itself. If you are able to provide an
auction item for either of these events please let us know. We will be sending
out a reminder in our newsletter and are glad to pick up items or certificates.

What our Visitor Centre has to offer our members
The Sicamous and District Chamber of Commerce, operates the
Destination BC Approved Visitor Centre 12 months of the year.
Our Visitor Centre provides local information as well as regional and
provincial information to the traveling public and residents.
Our Certified counsellors provide information to suit the needs of all
visitors, for those looking to plan a conference, reunion or a simply
holiday in Sicamous while promoting our members first and foremost.
We assist visitors in finding accommodation, activities and special
events in our community and the rest of the province
The Visitor Centre also provides relocation information.
We promote our local businesses, clubs and organizations and provide
them with information to hand out.
The Visitor Centre displays our Members Rack Cards and Brochures.

Excellence Awards Committee
determines the categories and
criteria for the winners.
We recognize the winners at a
dinner and gala event that kicks off
the season in late May. This year
we will be hosting the event at the
Sicamous Seniors Centre on
May 25th, 2018.

The Sicamous and District Chamber of Commerce is a
member driven organization that represents Business and
the Community in Sicamous, Swansea Point and Malakwa.
We work with municipal government, business owners and
other partners to develop the Economic, Commercial,
Industrial and Social growth of Sicamous and the surrounding
area.
Sicamous and District Chamber of Commerce advocates for
our local business community as well as offering our
member businesses a variety of opportunities to promote
themselves, do business with one another, save dollars, gain
value through a number of benefits, and stay current
through newsletters, educational events, seminars and
workshops.
Becoming a Chamber member is the first step to becoming
part of a team dedicated to growing a prosperous business
community. Members of the Sicamous and District Chamber
of Commerce can rest assured they are being represented
well with a strong board made up of committed local
business people and a dedicated director.
The board together with the Director are focused on the
continued growth of the Chamber and its members. Our
priority is to ensure our members are recognized as the
leaders and supporters of our community that drive our
economy and our way of life.

plan to join the District of
Sicamous on the August long
weekend and offer this free
event with activities for the
whole family. We wish to
feature a Corporate sponsor for
this event with a 500.00
contribution. We will have 3
competitions that have 1st, 2nd
and 3rd place prizes ranging
from 50.00 to 100.00.
All sponsors are listed on all
marketing materials and social
media.
Music In the Park is going into its
3rd Season!
We have had 2 Series sponsors the
last 2 years and last year we had
evening sponsors for all 7 nights!
Series sponsorship is 2500.00 and
evening sponsorship is 375.00 for 1
night.
Series sponsors are listed on the
stage banner and sandwich boards
as well as all marketing materials.
Evening sponsors are encouraged to
be onsite to promote their business
on the evening they sponsor and are
identified as the evening sponsor on
the marketing materials.
