When an international precious metal recovery plant was looking for a reliable<br />
liquid level transmitter that would perform flawlessly on a HCL they turned to<br />
Icon Process Controls.<br />
Hydrochloric acid is extremely corrosive and produces a gas that is commonly<br />
referred to as a vapor blanket. This blanket fills the empty space between the<br />
liquid level <strong>sensors</strong> and the top of the tank and wreaks havoc with ultrasonic level<br />
<strong>sensors</strong><br />
The <strong>Level</strong>pro submersible level sensor was selected at the best instrument for<br />
this application. They are loop powered and provide a 4-20mA output signal. They are<br />
not affected by foam, turbulence, and condensate. Most importantly for this<br />
application…vapor.<br />
The chemical resistant PVC, PP, PVDF, 316SS bodies coupled with Teflon jacketed<br />
cable and Kalrez O-rings make the 100 series an excellent choice for corrosive liquid<br />
applications<br />
