Boys Lacrosse April 5 - New Trier 13, GBS 4 10 Questions Michal Dwojak/22nd Century Media with Thomas Cavallaro The Glenbrook South junior is a major contributor for the boys volleyball team. When and why did you start playing volleyball? I started playing in sixth grade because I grew up with my cousins in Ohio playing and peppering, I was awful. My brother started playing in middle school and has been a big inspiration for me too. What do you like most about volleyball? Just the competitive nature of the game and the teamwork everyone has to put in. One person isn’t going to carry the team. What is one thing people don’t know about you? I have celiac disease, which means that I’m gluten free. What is your favorite sports moment? Last season when we won the regional championship against Loyola. It was a long game, super warm in the gym and we went to three sets. It was a fun game to play. If you were a superhero, what superpower would you want? I would want to fly. I’ve always loved flying for traveling and enjoy looking out the window so I think it would be fun to be up in the sky. What would you do if you won the lottery? I would save most of it and probably buy something for my family. If you could play another sport, what would it be? It would be soccer. I always wished I had better cardio. I played but the running was too much. What is your favorite area restaurant? I like Lou Malnatis pizza. I’m Italian so I love the pizza. What is one thing on your bucket list? To go to Italy. I’ve never been there and I have a lot of family there. If you could be any animal, which would you choose? I would be a cheetah so I could go fast.
