It is one of the most impressive and beloved of all traditional origami, and has become an international symbol of peace. The crane has been folded from a single dollar bill; but the resulting model is small, and the bill’s thickness hinders crisp, clean folding. This crane, from Richard’s Three-Dollar Bird Base, is large and elegant.
