Enjoy Northern Ireland’s biggest and best Jazz Festival this May Bank Holiday weekend, from 3rd – 7th May 2018. The City of Derry Jazz & Big Band Festival is back for its 17th year. The annual celebration of jazz and big bands will feature artists from all over the world and welcome more than 60,000 revellers over the bank holiday weekend. We’ve got some returning festival favourites as well as new acts, including Dinosaur, Heavy Beat Brass Band, Red Stripe Band, The Ska Beat, Roaring Forties, Revolutionaires, Kaz Hawkins and many more.

<strong>Jazz</strong> Dance classes at the Guildhall and<br />
Strabane Community Library. Over four<br />
weeks, participants can pick up a range of<br />
steps and learn how to adapt to a variety<br />
of rhythms, including <strong>Jazz</strong>, Swing, Boogie<br />
Woogie, and Big Band sounds. Admission<br />

Council’s Museum Service, this new<br />
exhibition for <strong>2018</strong> includes photographs<br />
and memorabilia from the 1950s, 60s & 70s<br />
– the ‘golden era’ of the showbands. It will<br />
be on show from the 2nd May in the<br />
Guildhall for the <strong>Jazz</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> and touring<br />
other venues across the North West,<br />

Come join us for the ‘DLD Second Line’<br />
Masterclass. All ages and instruments are<br />
welcome! The amazing musicians from<br />
the JayDee Brassband will run through the<br />
music in preparation for Saturday’s parade.<br />
