Giving Update
Thank you for your continued giving to Word of Peace!
Besides our ongoing ministries, your giving this past month
made possible:
Strategic Goals for 2018-2019
The following values and strategic goals were developed
at the Church Leadership Retreat in February and finalized
by the Strategic Planning Team. These values guide the focus
of our congregation in 2018-2019:
Over $1,400 was raised for “Bible Blast” (Bibles for our
congregation’s children and youth).
14 worship services were held for over 4,200 worshippers
during Holy Week.
13 3 rd through 6 th graders performed in the Grace Musical
on April 29 & 30.
Your continued giving is greatly appreciated. As of the
deadline for this publication, the Operations and Ministry
Fund is behind budget and we have taken a loan of
$20,000 from ourselves. The Building Fund offerings are
just about on budget (short by $664).

by giving regularly, even
when you’re up at the lake
(or wherever summer takes you).
We will carry out these values through the following goals:
Increase participation among uninvolved attenders and
CYF (Children, Youth, and Family) families by offering at
least 12 new small group opportunities during the 2018-
2019 program year.
Highlight and celebrate different service opportunities
each month to increase the number of participants serving
Word of Peace and our neighbors.
Grow the high school ministry with ongoing gatherings
and leadership training beginning this spring for youth
who are already involved in the life of the congregation.
We ask for your prayers and support of these strategic
goals as together, we work to strengthen the ministry of
Word of Peace.
