Registration underway for
2018-2019 at Homer 33C

Registration is now underway
in Homer School District
33C for the 2018-2019
school year.
Instructions on how to
complete the online process
were mailed and emailed to
parents of returning students
(students currently enrolled
in grades K-7) in early April.
Parents of incoming kindergartners
are asked to
begin the registration process
at one of the district’s
elementary schools between
9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the
following days: May 9, May
16, June 26, June 27 or June
28.
Students who are new
to the district and entering
grades 1-8 are invited to begin
the process at their new
school this summer. The
schools will be open 7:30
a.m. until 2 p.m. on the following
days: June 26-28;
July 17-19; July 24-26; July
31; Aug. 1-2; or Aug. 7-9.
Parents with multiple children
may register at a single
school. If there is a need to
confirm which school a child
will attend, call the district
office at (708) 226-7600.
Parents of incoming kindergartners
and students who
are new to the district should
be prepared to present the
following documents:
• Illinois driver’s license
or state ID with in-district
address
• Child’s certified Countyissued
birth certificate
• Child’s valid Illinois
State physical
• A student transfer form
from the child’s previous
school, if applicable
• Any court documents related
to guardianship, if applicable
• Proof of residency, including
one of the following:
• Most recent real estate
tax bill
• Mortgage document or
statement (dated within the
last 60 days)
• Signed current lease
• Military housing letter
• Section 8 housing letter
And two of the following:
• Utility bill(s) -- cable,
phone, gas, electric, water,
etc.
• Vehicle registration
• Insurance statement:
auto, homeowner, rental
• Medicaid card
All documents must be
current (within the last 60
days) and include the parent/
guardian’s name and Homer
33C address. One must be a
resident of Homer 33C at the
time of registration.

Registration fees are as
follows:
• $155 for grades K-4
• $185 for grades 5-7
• $215 for grade 8 (including
a $25 graduation fee)
Getting senior citizens involved
Reed Students of the Month celebrated

Reed School students who demonstrated
responsible citizenship
throughout March were selected
from each classroom and recognized
for their outstanding efforts.
Students nominated for this prestigious
honor demonstrated the
three “B’s” (Be Respectful, Be Responsible
and Be Peaceful) consistently
throughout the month.
All students nominated for the
monthly award were celebrated at
the school. The District 92 Foundation
for Educational Excellence
generously funded the lawn signs
for this schoolwide project. Look
for Student of the Month signs in
the neighborhood.

Park district plans
several events for
residents over age 50

Township Park District
The Lockport Township
Park District has several
upcoming events for people
ages 50 and older.
The Golden Age Club is
to be held from noon-2 p.m.
Attendees can socialize, play
bingo and enjoy a buffet.
Bingo is to be played with
each attendees’ own money.
Prices are 5 cents per card
per game and 10 cents per
card for coverall. The fee
for the Golden Age Club is
$8 if pre-registered and $12
at the door. Those interested
in attending must register by
Monday, April 30.
Local seniors can also join
the Senior Men’s Club from
8:30-11 a.m. May 1 for a
buffet breakfast catered by
local restaurants and an educational
presentation right
after. The fee to attend the
Senior Men’s Club is $6 if
pre-registered or $8 at the
door. Registration must be
completed by April 27.
Another option for residents
ages 50 and older is the
A-La-Carte Bus Trip from
8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday,
April 30. The trip is to be to
the Chicago Botanic Garden
in Glencoe. The trip allows
attendees to choose the
amount of money they would
like to spend. The fee includes
parking and transportation.
The bus leaves at 8:45
a.m. from Prairie Bluff Golf
Club, 19433 Renwick Road.
The fee is $10 per person.
