SOUL SONG<br />
The mind snubbed the heart when it said, it<br />
Pains; unleash it<br />
The wits sparred with rigor and said, I can’t let<br />
It go, it help me subsist<br />
The soul hummed songs of sadness; even the<br />
Ear didn’t heed to<br />
The songs of life, I try to compose but in vain;<br />
Though it fails me down<br />
Life, thou art tricky, the trial of life, the<br />
Turbulent ups and down<br />
Ride; is not a smooth, good one<br />
I am torn apart into shackles;<br />
The bondages in Life<br />
The more I wobble it off,<br />
The more it hugs me Tight<br />
Life, thou art malicious; as you dole out<br />
Breath and bread<br />
You dish up kith and kin ; love all around<br />
Though I am blind to it<br />
While I know not for what I pine for, I know<br />
That my heart is lamenting<br />
At the death of my soul, dead; yet alive to<br />
Protract the chores of the body I lived<br />
The soulful, blissful, love filled, Complete life ,<br />
That time, when I was a bird<br />
Who sung songs For myself ,<br />
Then, my tones lulled the world<br />
To love filled Peace<br />
I exulted and filled my heart with the beauty<br />
Of the songs sung<br />
