How often do we hear, “we have been doing

ITB works hard to deliver a more competent
workforce for its clients. This includes high quality
training and support to help them achieve the
qualifications they need - no matter where in the
world they are based.
Some clients require more support than others,
for this reason ITB will never say no to providing
extended or additional support should clients
require it. As a rule, the company will do
everything it can so that the journey from training
to certification is as quick and stress free as
possible. ITB’s competence training falls into three
categories: assessor learning, verifier learning and
leadership, coaching and mentoring learning
programmes. ITB is an approved OPITO, SQA and
the Institute of Leadership and Management
training centre.
The assessor awards are designed for any
organisation where assessments are required as
part of a competence management system or
to assess national occupational standards. The
importance of verifier learning is down to the
fact that internal verifiers have a significant role
in ensuring assessments are being carried out in
accordance with a Competence Management
System or Awarding Body Requirements.
The Coaching for Competence learning
programme endorsed by the Institute of
Leadership and Management is designed for
anyone tasked with carrying out workplace
coaching or one-to-one training in the workplace
but has been specifically designed for discipline
experts who are involved in coaching to meet
in-house competence standards.

ensuring that each Competence Management
System (CMS) is delivered using the best
methodologies and standards available.
Project managers and consultants, with the
appropriate experience and qualifications, are
appointed so that each CMS is: fit for purpose;
sustainable; compliant with external audits; fully
embedded and embraced by all levels of the
organisation.
ITB’s work has taken the company far and wide,
from Aberdeen to Iraq, and this expertise in the field
is recognised worldwide. Whether starting with a
blank canvas and creating a CMS from scratch or
improving an existing system, ITB has the knowhow
to make a difference to your business.
ITB offers a number of CMS support packages to
cater for businesses at various stages in competence
management. This can involve the support of
a qualified project manager to facilitate the
development of a project plan for implementing
your CMS as well as additional support visits to
review progress and provide advice and guidance
on a project’s development.
Customised CMS support packages are also
developed where clients benefit from ITB’s
expertise in areas including assessment,
verification, project management, documentation
development, administration, provision of
contingent labour services and much more.
ITB is with its clients every step of the way. In
addition to coaching and mentoring, an innovative
Candidate Support Centre has been set up to
provide after training support to help compile the
evidence required by the awarding bodies. It will
give clients the opportunity to ask questions,
re-visit learning materials and view examples.
