Tuesday, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 7:30 a.m.–<br />
5:30 p.m., Thursday, 7:30–5:00 p.m., <strong>and</strong> Friday,<br />
8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. A time limit of 10 minutes per<br />
user will be enforced.<br />
Cork message boards will also be available for posting<br />
hard-copy messages <strong>and</strong> meeting <strong>and</strong> event announcements.<br />
Newsletter<br />
The daily newsletter, The Cable Car Post, containing<br />
important information about the meeting program<br />
<strong>and</strong> events, is available in the registration area, Career<br />
Center, Exhibit Hall, <strong>and</strong> various other locations. Articles<br />
or news items may be dropped off at the Registration<br />
Counter. The newsletter editorial office is located<br />
in Boardroom B (Atrium Lobby Level)<br />
Student Lounge<br />
The Student Lounge, located in the Plaza Room<br />
(Street Level), has been set aside for students to meet,<br />
network, socialize, participate in special student activities,<br />
<strong>and</strong> relax. Hours are Monday through Thursday,<br />
8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., <strong>and</strong> Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00<br />
noon. HFES thanks the following groups for their<br />
sponsorship: Aerospace Systems Technical Group,<br />
Cognitive Engineering <strong>and</strong> Decision Making Technical<br />
Group, San Jose State University Student Chapter, <strong>and</strong><br />
Surface Transportation Technical Group.<br />
Birds of a Feather Room<br />
The Golden Gate Room (Bay Level) has been set<br />
aside Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to<br />
8:00 p.m. <strong>and</strong> on Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon<br />
for individuals with mutual interests to discuss pertinent<br />
topics or conduct meetings. A sign-up sheet is<br />
provided at the room for advance reservations. Meeting<br />
times are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis,<br />
although a few meetings have been pre-reserved.<br />
Audiovisual Preview Room<br />
Regency B (Street Level) has been reserved for presenters<br />
who wish to preview their audiovisual materials.<br />
Computers will be available for AV preview only. Preview<br />
hours on Monday <strong>and</strong> Tuesday are 7:00 a.m. to<br />
6:00 p.m., on Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.,<br />
on Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., <strong>and</strong> on Friday<br />
from 7:30 a.m. to noon.<br />
Volunteers Assignment Room<br />
Student volunteers who have been assigned duties<br />
should check in with Volunteer Coordinators John R.<br />
Morris <strong>and</strong> Shanqing “S.Q.” Yin in Boardroom A<br />
(Atrium Lobby Level).<br />
Proceedings CD-ROM<br />
All registered attendees have been provided with a<br />
CD-ROM containing the proceedings. Workstations<br />
are available in the Internet Café near the Registration<br />
Counter for viewing the CD-ROM <strong>and</strong> printing out<br />
individual papers. If supplies allow, additional CD-<br />
ROMs may also be purchased at HFES Central.<br />
EXHIBITS<br />
Location <strong>and</strong> Hours<br />
All attendees are encouraged to visit the exhibits,<br />
located in Pacific Concourse D–K (Pacific Concourse<br />
Level). Coffee breaks will be held in the Exhibit Hall<br />
on Tuesday afternoon <strong>and</strong> on Wednesday <strong>and</strong> Thursday<br />
morning <strong>and</strong> afternoon.<br />

Wednesday 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.<br />
Thursday 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.<br />

Prize Drawings<br />
HFES will be giving away two 2011 membership<br />
renewals <strong>and</strong> two registrations for the 55th Annual<br />
Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada. To enter a drawing<br />
to win these prizes, fill out the entry slips found in<br />
your portfolio bag <strong>and</strong> deposit them in the appropriate<br />
box inside the main entrance of the Exhibit Hall. In<br />
addition, some exhibitors will be offering prizes for the<br />
drawing; entry slips for these prizes may be obtained<br />
at each participating exhibitor’s booth.<br />
All drawings will be held on Wednesday <strong>and</strong> Thursday<br />
during the morning refreshment break (10:00–10:30<br />
a.m.). Names of winners will be posted on a sign board<br />
in the Exhibit Hall. You must be present to claim your<br />
prize. Prizes are not transferable. If you have already<br />
paid your 2011 dues <strong>and</strong> your name is drawn, you will<br />
be renewed at no charge for 2012.<br />
