GUNGAHLIN LAKES GOLF CLUB 2012 Members Handbook<br />
Super Shot<br />
In each weekend club competition, one par 3 hole is designated as the<br />
Super Shot hole. The jackpot prize is won by any member who can hit<br />
their tee shot to within one metre <strong>of</strong> the hole. The jackpot prize may<br />
be paid as golf balls or as a club voucher (at the discretion <strong>of</strong> the<br />
committee based on the size <strong>of</strong> the jackpot).<br />
Course Maintenance<br />
Gungahlin Lakes is a ‘s<strong>of</strong>t spikes’ only course.<br />
Sand Buckets<br />
All players must carry and use sand buckets to repair divots and any<br />
other damage to the course.<br />
Repairing Fairways and Greens<br />
A player should ensure that any turf cut or displaced (a “divot”) is<br />
replaced and/or filled with sand and that any damage to a putting<br />
green made by a ball (pitch mark) is carefully repaired.<br />
Bunkers<br />
Before leaving a bunker, a player should be careful to smooth out all<br />
indentations they make and other marks that have not been smoothed<br />
out by a previous player. After use, bunker rakes should be placed<br />
outside the bunker in line with the play <strong>of</strong> the hole. Use suitable entry<br />
and exit points from the bunker such as the tongues <strong>of</strong> grass – do not<br />
walk on the face <strong>of</strong> a bunker.<br />
Pitch Marks on Greens<br />
When proceeding on to any green, all players should search for, find<br />
and repair their ball’s pitch mark. If time permits, all players should<br />
