FOURSOMES
Teams of two. One half of aggregate stroke handicap. Players play
alternatively from tee and alternate shots on the remainder of each
hole. Penalties do not affect the playing order of alternate shots.
AMERICAN FOURSOMES
Teams of two. Three eighths of aggregate stroke handicap. Both
players play from the tee. Each player then plays one shot with their
partner’s ball. The players then decide which ball is to be played and
this ball is then played alternately for the remainder of the hole.
CANADIAN FOURSOMES
Teams of two. Three eighths of aggregate stroke handicap for all
players. Both players play from the tee and then decide on which
ball is to be played. The selected ball is then played alternately for
the remainder of the hole.
FOUR BALL IRISH STABLEFORD
Teams of four. All four players’ Stableford scores must be recorded
on the card. On Holes 1-6 the best score is recorded, on Holes 7-11,
the best two scores are recorded, on Holes 12-15, the best three
scores are recorded, on Holes 16-18, all four scores are recorded.
2 BALL AGGREGATE STABLEFORD
Teams of two. The Stableford scores of both players are recorded
for each hole. The result for each hole is the combined total of the
two players’ Stableford scores.
