Garden Volunteers Needed!<br />
Springtime in <strong>Maple</strong> <strong>Bluff</strong> and<br />
the public gardens come alive,<br />
creating beautiful spaces for<br />
everyone to enjoy as they walk or<br />
drive through the neighborhood.<br />
These public triangles, as well<br />
as the Beach Park gardens,<br />
are maintained by resident<br />
volunteers. The <strong>Village</strong> provides<br />
a budget for planting each one.<br />
However, the Lakewood entrance<br />
and the border around the gazebo<br />
at Johnson Park are currently<br />
without caretakers and it shows.<br />
These areas need to be weeded,<br />
deadheaded, and mulched in<br />
order to look their best. A design<br />
is being drawn up for the empty<br />
area south <strong>of</strong> Lakewood Blvd.<br />
and help will be needed for<br />
installing plants sometime this<br />
summer. If you would be willing<br />
to help revitalize the entrance<br />
