“I dreamed I was able to fly, but in such a
way that I seemed catapulted into the air
and lost all control. The feeling of flying was
exalting, but soon turned to fear when I was
helplessly torn upward to higher and higher
altitudes. At that point I made the saving
discovery that I could regulate the rise or
fall of my flight by holding or releasing my
breath. “
Hermann Hesse
PPL flight training at the same time.
Night qualification is integrated into PPL training.
After being rewarded with the private pilot certificate
the trainee will attend the ATPL theoretical course. This
course will give the trainees the knowledge needed for
flight training up to the ATPL level. After passing the ATPL
exams, the student will also meet JAA requirements.
While attending the ATPL theoretical course the trainee
could start the instrument qualification flight training
(IR). Upon completion of IR, the trainee will continue
with commercial flight training and then proceed to multi
engine training.
Flying Academy is a leading flight school in Czech Republic.
We keep pace with new trends in aviation and use modern training
procedures, equipment and materials.
Flight Training
We use the Cessna C152 for initial flight training, which
is an ideal two-seat training aircraft. The Cessna C152
is notable for its economical operation, easy control and
very good flying attributes.
For advanced training we provide the entirely new fourseater
Cirrus SR20-G2, currently the best aircraft in the
category of small planes with integrated avionics, so
called “Glass cockpit” Avidyne Flight Max Entegra.
Moreover, we offer a four-seat Piper Archer III (PA28-
181), equipped with conventional instruments and two
combined Nav/Comm/GPS Garmin GNS 430 receivers.
Theoretical training
Theoretical training takes the form of interactive courses
ultimately using all modern materials.
Our students all have access to our library, training PC
software and video archive, including the highest quality
training materials presently available. Our library is
constantly updated.
Training and test portal
Flying Academy is the only flight school in the Czech
Republic to own and provide an online testing portal
containing more than 14 000 test questions from all
aviation subjects.
This testing portal significantly contributes to higher
training effectiveness. Supporting this is the fact that most
of the students attending Flying Academy pass the Civil
Aviation Authority exams at the first attempt.
ATR 42 Simulator
Flying Academy carries out the training on an ATR 42
simulator provided by Czech Airlines, which is supervised
only by professionally trained airline pilots.
The simulator is certified as FNTP II. It is able to simulate
engine failures, flights in unfavourable weather conditions
and many other failures and defects that students might
come up with during a flight and we will prepare you for
these situations. Precisely graphically processed airport
and land features help to increase the realism of the
simulation.
The simulator is mostly used for IFR flight training and
students are able to fly as many as 25 hours of IFR
training. The other possible use of the simulator is for
PPL training, where the student can exercise up to 5 flight
hours. The simulator is also suitable for MCC training.
When attending the IFR training, our goal is not to teach
you how to control the ATR-42 or one engine failure
procedures. During the IFR training the simulator is
used as a single-pilot and single-engine airplane. The
simulated IFR training stresses perfect control of IFR
flights by simulating limited weather conditions, unusual
flight attitudes and situations, real life demonstrations of
which would hardly be performable and even dangerous
for students and their instructors.
Do not forget the fact that simulated flight is a part of
interview and selection procedures in many countries and
airlines. Thanks to the intensive training on our simulator
you will be well prepared for this exam.
Simulator ATR 42 is very effectively used for training and cockpit
fully corresponds to modern aircraft.
MCC - Multi Crew Co-Operation
Multi Crew Co-Operation course is essential to fly as an
airline crew member in Multi Pilot Aircraft (MPA). MCC
course is required (or is significant advantage) to be
completed by most airlines before an interview.
Course description
The aim of the course is to become proficient in multicrew
co-operation (MCC) in order to operate safely multipilot
multi-engine aeroplanes under IFR.
The objectives of MCC training are optimum decision
making, communication, division of tasks, use of
checklists, mutual supervision, teamwork, and support
throughout all phases of flight under normal, abnormal
and emergency conditions. The training emphasises the
development of non-technical skills applicable to working
in a multi-crew environment.
MCC course also includes the opportunity to practice
the skills that are necessary to be effective team leaders
and members. This is achieved by training excercises in
which the applicants are crewmembers in the pilot flying
(PF) and the pilot not flying (PNF) roles.
Learning objectives
Main areas covered in course are :
• Leadership/”followership” and authority
• Personality, attitude and motivation
• Effective and clear communication during flight
• Crew co-ordination procedures
• Use of checklists
• Mutual supervision, information and support
• Call-out procedures
and fly all Instrument rating in aircraft or use cheeper
version FNTP II simulator Seneca V. There is also many
different opinion whether use Glass cocpit aircraft with
philosophy similar to airliner or go with cheapest version.
This dicition you can make later on when you start
with Instrument rating. Mean time you will have more
information and knowledge.
Price list is design according our best knowledge and
