installers and end users with efficiency in mind, offering technically advanced range 

of facilities and functions while remaining easy to install, program and operate.

ECO1000 SERIES 

The ECO1000 is a range of conventional detectors, which have been produced using the latest in 

manufacturing technology and supplied with an array of advanced features, making them ‘better by 

design’. 

A laser-based hand held Remote Test Unit can be used in conjunction with the range of ECO1000 

detectors for alarm test purposes. With a range of several metres, the hand held test unit provides an 

effortless way of remotely alarm testing the range of ECO1000 detectors. 

The ECO1000 detectors also have an integral LED, which illuminates to provide a local alarm signal. 

This latches on, and remains illuminated until the detector is reset by a momentary power interruption. 

An optional remote LED annunciator may be used to repeat any alarm signal. 

A variety of detector bases can be used with the ECO1000 detectors, providing application flexibility 

and compatibility with a wide range of Fire Alarm Control Panels. All bases are fitted with a shorting 

spring to permit circuit testing prior to fitting the detector and have a tamper resistant feature, which 

when activated prevents removal of the detector without the use of a tool.

security system that require an external contact to activate 

an ancillary piece of equipment. The relay is controlled directly 

from the detector. Therefore, in an alarm condition both the detector 

and relay base will latch into alarm, and can only be reset by 

removing the supply voltage from the detector. The base can be 

used with 4 wire security systems that have a reset facility. 

ECO1000BREL12NL 12V RELAY BASE NON LATCHING 

The ECO1000BREL12NL has been designed to provide interfacing 

between a ECO1000 detector and 12V security control 

panels that do not provide a reset facility, as the relay base 

is self-resetting. Therefore, the relay base will automatically reset 

the ECO1000 detector when a fire alarm condition no longer exists. 

While the detector is in alarm the LED will be on, although it will 

flash when an alarm check is performed. This base is also ideal for 

control of any electrical apparatus such as air conditioning systems 

or apparatus utilising a 12V power supply instead of a control panel. 

ECO1000BREL24L 24V RELAY BASE LATCHING 

The ECO1000BREL24L has been designed to provide interfacing 

between a ECO1000 detector and 24V fire control 

panels or power supplies that require an external contact 

to activate an ancillary piece of equipment. The relay is controlled 

directly from the detector. Therefore, in an alarm condition both the 

detector and relay base will latch into alarm, and can only be reset 

by removing the supply voltage from the detector. A break off tab 

allows the base to be connected to a range of fire control panels. 

This tab should be broken when there is little current flow or no 

current limiting resistor such as when used as a stand-alone system 

powered by a 24V supply.

800 SERIES 

This range of detectors has been produced using the latest in manufacturing and design techniques, 

pushing out the boundaries of existing conventional detector technology. With it’s multitude of innovative 

features, the Series 800 is a detector which ‘acts conventionally, thinks intelligently’. 

Series 800 is the paradigm shift in conventional fire detector technology. This new range is the first to 

benefit from our latest innovation-remote test and configuration capability from the ground using a 

handheld test. Series 800 is feature rich, including sensitivity selection, addressability, status indication 

using a bi-color LED. 

Service and maintenance is also simplified because the contamination level of the serving chamber can 

be read maintenance dates can be written and an alarm test can be instigated - all through use of the 

same hand-held tool.

The S300ZDU is the address display module used in 

conjunction with a zone of series 800 detectors. 

The unit is connected and powered directly from the 

conventional panel's zone wiring. When a series 800 

detector goes into alarm its address is automatically displayed 

on the S300ZDU. 

It is possible for the S300ZDU to display multiple alarms by scrolling 

addresses on the display. The first unit being uniquely identified.

6500 SERIES 

BEAM DETECTORS 

The 6500R is a conventional reflector- type linear optical beam smoke detector designed 

to operate as a component of a conventional fire alarm system. He operates primarily on 

the principle of light obscuration utilising an Infra-Red beam. Optical beam smoke 

detectors are particularly appropriate for protecting buildings with large open spaces such 

as warehouses, atriums etc. 

The 6500R detector is a combined transmitter/receiver unit that can be directly 

connected to a conventional detector circuit. The Infra-Red transmitter generates a beam 

of light towards a high efficiency reflector. The reflector returns the beam to the receiver 

where an analysis of the received signal is made. 

Alignment of the detector is simplified with the aid of the detector’s "gunsight" targeting 

device. Alignment of the detector with the reflector can then be “fine tuned” with the aid of 

a numerical signal strength indicator. 

The detector incorporates automatic drift compensation, whereby the detector will adjust 

its detection thresholds in line with any long term signal reduction of the beam caused by 

contamination of the optical surface.

The new family of input/output modules are available in single and multi-way models 

within the same mechanical package, reducing both the cost of installation and the 

mounting space required. 

Their unique mechanical design allows each module to be mounted in either a wall box, 

on a DIN rail or within any type of enclosure. Irrespective of the mounting method chosen, 

the address switch is both visible and accessible for selection. 

Each module has built-in short circuit protection for the communications loop; however, to 

increase application flexibility, the isolators can be selected/deselected on an individual 

module basis. 

To help engineers in the maintenance and fault-finding process, both the LEDs and the 

switches can be viewed without having to remove the cover of the surface mounting box. 

The LEDs, being multi-colour, provide diagnostic information regarding the status of each 

individual input/output. 

For ease of installation, testing and maintenance, the field wiring terminals are of plug-in 

design.

The TC847A1004 is an addressable analogue reflector- type linear optical beam smoke 

detector designed to operate as a component of an analogue Notifier fire system. 

He operates primarily on the principle of light obscuration utilising an Infra-Red beam. 

Optical beam smoke detectors are particularly appropriate for protecting buildings with 

large open spaces such as warehouses, atriums etc. 

The TC847A1004 detector is a loop powered combined transmitter/receiver unit that 

can be directly connected to an analogue loop circuit. 

The Infra-Red transmitter generates a beam of light towards a high efficiency reflector. 

The reflector returns the beam to the receiver where an analysis of the received signal is

Alignment of the detector with the reflector can then be “fine tuned” with the aid of a

NOTIFIER/SYSTEM SENSOR Retard and Non-Retard T-Tap Water flow Detectors, 

designed for primary signalling in residential and branch line signalling in larger systems, 

fit any tee that has a 1" NPT branch, including: 1", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" NPT threaded 

ferrous and brass tees; 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 2" copper sweat tees; 1" CPVC tees; and 1- 

1/2" polybutylene tees. 

The design of these units makes them easy to install and simple to 

maintain. Both can be mounted in the vertical or horizontal position. 

Two conduit openings permit easy hook-up with local alarm system. 

Delay mechanism assembly (Model WFDT only) and switch assemblies are field 

replaceable.
