Rabbit Awareness Week
2018 asks owners
to ‘Move Away
From Muesli’
Rabbit Awareness Week (2nd – 10th June)
offers owners and schools a chance to get
involved with the biggest campaign of the
year aimed at improving
the welfare of rabbits
across the UK.
This year we are
encouraging owners
to ‘Move Away From
Muesli’. Many owners
still feed their rabbits
muesli based diets
which allow selective
feeding. Research has
shown that selective
feeding can increase the risk of dental disease and digestive
problems in rabbits.
You can find out more about our
Move Away From Muesli’ mission and lots more about rabbits at
www.rabbitawarenessweek.co.uk and why not download your
FREE owners or schools pack while you’re there!
Walk to School
Week 2018
Thousands of teachers and
children will celebrate the
benefits of walking as they take
to their feet during this year’s
Walk to School Week (21-25 May
2018).
Walk to School Week is
organised by Living Streets, the
UK charity for everyday walking
and takes place during National
Walking Month each May. Last
year, over 14,000 classes took
part – that’s around 400,000
children walking to school.
Experts advise that children are
active for at least 60 minutes a day to stay healthy but
only one in five 5-15 year olds are achieving this. Rather
than competing for time in the busy school day to
encourage children to move more, the journey to school
provides the perfect opportunity for children to achieve
part of the recommended daily amount of physical
activity before they’ve even reached the school gates.
Find out how you can help your pupils be healthier
and happier this Walk to School Week at
