A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF IN OUR OWN VOICES, INC. Tandra R. LaGrone In Our Own Voices (IOOV), is exceedingly excited to host the 2018 Say It Loud Black & Latino Gay Pride, a celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender people of color (LGBT POC) communities. It is a chance for LGBT POC, families, friends and allies to come together in unity to celebrate community, strength, and talent. Through this unique event, IOOV provides an opportunity to acknowledge and recognize the diversity of over 5,700 LGBT POC community members and their contributions to the LGBT community at large. As an organization that seeks to promote the health and well being of LGBT people of color, we understand the importance of creating and validating safe spaces that foster positive socialization and access to resources. LGBT POC are often neglected and underserved. Black & Latino Gay Pride offers the Capital Region a safe space for LGBT POC Communities to say, "We are here and We are PROUD to be who We are!"
