MN PHCC 2019 Past President’s Club Scholarship Application The MN PHCC Past President’s Club awards scholarships of $1,000 or more to selected individuals going into the plumbing/ heating/cooling trade. Applicants must be sponsored by a MN PHCC Contractor member in good standing, or a MN PHCC Past President. Scholarships are awarded at each Annual Convention. The dates for the 123rd Annual Convention are February 6-8, 2019. Below are the instructions and details. 1. Write a 1-page, double-spaced essay on why you want to go into the p-h-c trade. 2. Provide a letter of recommendation from a personal acquaintance (not a relative) attesting to character and other pertinent information. 3. Application must be postmarked by September 17, 2018. 4. Applicant must reside in Minnesota. 5. Applicant must be a senior in high school, have graduated from high school or have a GED. The scholarship award may be given to any person desiring to further his/her education in the p-h-c trade. This includes mechanical engineering or CAD operator. If the recipient should drop out of school during the year, the balance of the award shall be returned to the MN PHCC Past President’s Club. A person may receive only one MN PHCC Past President’s Scholarship in his/her lifetime. The Scholarship Committee will consist of the most recent three (3) Past Presidents of the MN PHCC. The Scholarship Committee will have the final decision in awarding this scholarship. Incomplete or late applications will NOT be considered. The scholarship check shall be written in the recipient’s name and in the name of the attending school. It shall be used immediately during the school year, following applying for the scholarship.
