SAUSD Educational Services division is pleased to provide a worthwhile collection of
professional learning opportunities that enable us to work with one another to discover
and further develop teaching practices, resources, and skills. With our destination set
for student success and motivation for learning, we hope these “travels” take you to
new heights as we all continue our journey.

Benchmark Advance & Adelante - Day 1
Day 1 is an introductory training provided by Benchmark
Consultants. Participants will gain familiarity with the whole
group, small group and intervention resources available at a
specific grade level.
Directions and registration can be found either by using the
link below, or by going to the Language Arts (K-5) site on the
staff portal. Online registration is required as space is limited
for each session.

StudySync Initial Trainings
The goal is to provide teachers with a thorough introduction to
California StudySync so teachers begin using these valuable
resources in their classrooms. The overview will be
customized to meet the needs of SAUSD and may include the

Developing Artistic Literacy
A professional learning program fro K-8 Teachers.
California standards call for students to develop literacy
in all content areas. These programs develop
teacher’s literacy and skills in dance, theatre, visual art
or music. They are aligned with California K-8 Visual
and Performing Arts Content Standards, National Core
Arts Standards, and Common Core Content Literacy
and Technical Subjects
Artful Inquiry
For Dance, Music, Theatre, Visual Art and AME teachers
Collaboratively explore new aspects of arts
