"We are working together with a song in our heart..."<br />
In the month of July, The Chancel Choir will take their summer break and in the meantime we have the<br />
opportunity to share other musical offerings. We remain an open platform for musical worship of different<br />
types. If you or anyone you know would enjoy the chance to worship God with your artistic talents then we<br />
have a place for you. We are continually grateful for all your prayers and support of the music ministry at<br />
South Hills.<br />
What if God is a song? We know of the idea in the bible that God is the Word, but what if God were a tune that<br />
you heard sung? Like mercy that inspires more forgiveness, would the angelic chorus act as a contagious<br />
ear-worm shared between our hearts? A favorite saying goes, "It's the easiest thing in the world to write a<br />
complicated song that no one can remember. It's the hardest thing in the world to write a simple hook that<br />
you can't get out of your head." Does compassion work like that? Christ's challenging message of grace might<br />
be the most unforgettable melody ever.<br />
